A few last words

    Hi everyone :-)

    The final moment is closing in on me and my PE life
    The sale is almost done and my visits inGame is reducing rapidly
    I've choose to leave the game the same way i got in, thru Corinth waring my orage PJ :D

    Several of you have asked me questions about my withdrawal from the game and some of you have asked me to comment on whats happening inGame and what i think of it, now is the time to do so!

    Why do I leave?
    Well is very simple, PE or EU is not the game anymore that i signed up for!
    I started playing for more then 2years ago now and back then PE was a cute and maybe a bit naive game. Then the goal was to have fun, chat, collaborate the money was just something that put some extra spice to the game
    Now its imho business, no more no less
    And as some of you know, business is my irl occupation so more business in the evening is not what i look for as a relax!

    Am i pissed off at MA?
    Nope actually not at all!
    MA is a company and as a company they are forced to make a profit
    Im pretty sure MA once shared the dream of that friendly game PE used to be but market forces have made MA take another route
    They now face competition from games like Afterworld and Second Life .
    MA's goal is an stock market introduction that requires to show profit.

    Do i belive in a future of the game?
    Im sorry to say this not imho NO
    MA have been take hostage of a small group of players that "own" most of the valuable resources inGame
    If a few of them decides to leave\withdraw MA will have to payout considerable amount of hard currency and that is not something MA like to do
    So its a thin balance between development of the game and keeping this little group happy.
    By now the "entrance fee" have grown so hight that many ppl choose other games instead


    Did i loose\earn alot of money?
    Honestly i have not a clue of how much i have deposit thrue the years and dont want to know eaither :pulp:
    But as for now i have withdrawed 60k peds and have about another 10k reamining to withdraw.
    And that sum feels pretty OK to me, it could some loos but it could also be a few $ profit, I actually dont know
    Since i never signed up for making money it does not feel that important.


    To me PE was about the ppl and the stories that comes along with them and from that point of view I got more then i payed for!
    I have met some very nice ppl and of course some jerks too but thats just how life is
    Some of you have earned a special place in my heard and will most likely remain there for many years to come.

    Nice words Itto , respect :)

    I was afraid that the conclusion wich you wrote in the part "Do i belive in a future of the game?" is the same which i have since around a half year :scare:


    So i wish you good luck in RL and in other virtual worlds ,
    maybe we meet in SL or in AW if its open :Beer:

    I think you are spot on with your observation of the game. It is only a matter of time but I really think that all such games will come and go for the very same reasons. With that said I hope you won't be a stranger to the forum. You still have friends here so stop in and chat once in awhile. Besides someone has to keep us informed to the next games we can go to LOL

    A sad day for EU. :cry:

    Running to collect those first TPs on Amethera, standing helplessly with my Jester1 watching this guy in full Nem blowing Hiryuu out of the sky with a rifle that fired blue plasma, and gracefully killing those dangerous Atrox with a samurai sword ... AWESOME!!

    Itto you were a great inspiration and your example encouraged me to keep playing when I first joined PE. You were honest and loyal in trades and in chats, and your goodbye messages usually included "Have Fun", because as you have mentioned, to you this was a game to enjoy and not a business for profit.
    I hope more people develop this attitude, to relax and have fun, instead of just playing to profit.

    Good luck IRL and in whatever games you play. I hope you keep in touch, and still visit us in forums sometimes to say Hi.

    You will always be considered an UBER by me.
