  1. This isnt NI related, but alot of the folks from the NI community I have developed a good relationship with. I'd like to let you know about a new project Ive undertaken on Calypso that I feel captures the spirit of Next Island.

No doors. No locks. Just walls of air.

I love that concept. I think it's a very creative idea and I hope it goes very well. I'm always thrilled to see new and interesting ways to promote the arts. I look forward to visiting someday. Good luck with it!

  3. It is a lovely idea and a lovely setting for it. I wish you lots of luck with the project. I too look forward to visiting one day.

congratulations on the purchace, and it sounds like an excellent idea. I look forward to seeing it unfold.

it's a nice area, too. there's a cute little lake and the town isn't very far away.

  6. Great idea, I'll defiantly have to come check it out.

What an inspirational idea, Magyar. Will there be some seats and perhaps a cafe so those artistically inclined can discuss topics? I'm over on Calypso for a few days. Will look to visit in the near future. Best of luck to you and your friends!

  8. There will be 2 rooms with chairs setup, the 2 larger rooms. The entire place will be setup like a home, complete with kitchen furnishings, etc, and social events will be facilitated there as best the system is capable of facilitating. I'm going to contact SDS soon with a business plan and update the blog with the response.

will there be spicy chicken wings and a bartender who knows how to a dry manhattan?

(although, I actually prefer celery sticks with a sour cream and parmesan dip with a riesling cooler)

  10. You mean whisky, vermouth, and a touch of bitters? I can do that. As for chicken wings -- berycled are pretty close. I think we've got you covered!

  11. Only chinese food on the kitchen table for now (cool kitchen set btw, fridge and all) :D

I visited the castle a couple of days ago. It's really nice, with lots of space for the cultural events! I'll try visiting often and check the new stuff that'll be added and also put it on my "spreading the word" list amongst the places to visit on Calypso.

    Good luck :)

rye whisky, dry vermouth, dash of bitters, and an orange twist. serve it in a frozen cocktail glass, stirred (froth is for the uncultured, and a highball glass is for drunks). oh, and have a nice coaster. you tell the savvy of an establishment by the quality of their coasters. they're also fun to collect.

berycled sounds fine, in so long as someone can make a proper coating and sauce. I don't like powdered coatings from boxes or pre-prepared sauces even if they're stored in glass.
