*Adopt a Newbie* - The Newbie List

Hey Guy, please don't invent difficulties! :D
If a PvP (or other) Soc with strict membership requirements (such as "must chip in" or "must buy pvp gear") were to join ANF, it would be up to them to find suitable recuits on the lists. Which they likely wouldn't, so none of them have joined. This is really a total non-issue.

The Soc rules mentioned are simply rules of good behaviour which most socs have. Yes, sometimes people do object to them, but they are free to go elsewhere if so. Maybe ANF might even be able to match them up with another Soc (they are not totally inflexible) but they would likely have to find their own soc, because ANF's pool is limited.

Our most controversial Soc rule is "No sweat re-selling" which some feel inhibits free trade. However, our Soc has a good reputation, and a sweat reseller could a) exploit that reputation (since we are known for helping newbies and for offering decent sweat prices) and b) tarnish that repution, ofc.

Now, I don't think that anybody's god-given right to re-sell sweat is really worth the hassle the Soc would get on their account. I don't think it's worth the hassle they personally get, either :D, but if they disagree, then they can -and should- join another Soc , IMO. If they come via ANF, I'm sure their honesty in speaking out right away would be appreciated by Dalas, as well as by the Soc.

Sweat re-selling? Gads - It is hard enough to sell it once! lol

OK, Guys, I don't want to circumvent the official process too much, but it's been about a week since Dalas was last active, so I'm willing to wing it a bit more, in the interests of getting you hooked up.

My Soc (-TAO-) can only take so many at a time We;ve already taken on Guy, and two more of you should have had contracts from Dalas, last time he was on. You two should know who you are! Please forward a copy of the contract to me and we'll get you signed up.

Experience says that one of ypu , at most will be watching and still interested. so we could still take another one or two, at least. The rest of you, please look us up in Soc info, and if you like the sound of us, send an application direct to me (assuming Dalasis still missing). Like I said, we can't take too many ppl at once, so if i get a few, i'll have to be selective, I'm afraid, but maybe we can work something out with other Socs

I'm sure Dalas will still be willing to supply you with Newbie kits. If not. I'll sort something out.

Oh! And don't be mad at Dalas. He's got an awful lot on his plate, IRL, these days.
