Let me tell you the story of my last adventure in space. Some hours ago, I made a flight from Next Island to Calypso because our society leader Emerald Emma Abaddon had planned a beacon event later today. No problem with the flight but, on the arrival, it was impossible for me to teleport from the privateer to the space station. I tried several times. It was just impossible to teleport. I was obviously not alone in this situation. There seemed to be other privateers with the same problem and small spacecrafts (Sleipnirs, Quads) desperately trying to enter the station without success... white triangles here and there... a nice mess... I tried to see whether some information was available on Planet Calypso Forum and I indeed found one thread relating the issue. But I also discovered another thread where a MindArk official was making an April joke about teleports when, at the same time, some players were floating in space and others were stuck in their spacecrafts because they could not teleport to the Calypso space station. I found this very inconsiderate, to say the least, and I hope this MindArk official will apologise for what we will call a "communication error". A bit later, good news arrived, not from MindArk's side, but from Giuliano adm Noooo who nicely proposed his help to all those who were stuck in space. Giuliano adm Noooo is the owner of the Dreadnought mothership and is really a nice guy. He tried hard to help me, but he could not summon me to his mothership from my privateer. This simply doesn't work. Nevertheless, I will remember that he tried to help me in a difficult situation. So I was stuck in my privateer and would probably not be able to participate in the beacon event? David nazbrat mc, a member of our Soaring Eagles society, also tried to help me. He suggested that I should fly to Crystal Palace and from there teleport to Calypso. A good idea ! This was just the only possibility for me if I wanted to take part in the event. And this is what I did. Even if my privateer is docked at Crystal Palace station, I am now on Calypso. And happy :)
Its nice to follow the spirit of Aprils Fools but that situation was not right. Maybe they should have done something like have everyone wearing a dunce cap, etc. Something that don't effect game play :)
It is a bug and I tend to be very patient with bugs. Entropia Universe is a complex universe, so I understand that things are complicated to correct. In a certain way, bugs belong to the game. I am much less patient with communication mistakes because they can normally be easily avoided. Mindark official's April joke was not appropiate in this situation.
