Here's the original announcement: "Well, the car giveaway event is over. A few people got cars, but most didnt. I had been hoping to organize some races here, but it seems that 99.5% of the population didnt get one. So instead of organizing a race for the select few who were lucky enough to find Emma, get through the mob, and get a trade with her, I figured it'd be much funner to get a race together for everyone who didn't get a car. So on my next radio show, I will be hosting a race for non-car owners. The way that MA set it up, you can loan privileges to use your car to any other ava without collateral. So I've gotten with some of my friends who were lucky enough to get a car and they have agreed to take part. We will be meeting at the South Race Track near New Switzerland on thursday night/friday morning at midnight. (about 48 hours from the time i'm writing this) The intent is to run races until everyone who shows up has had a chance. It's a good way for anyone who hasnt had a chance to try out the cars to have a free run at it. Don't have the new switzerland TP? no problem! we are coordinating with Entropia Tour Agency to provide free wormhole trips to the location, at no cost to you! Will there be prizes? Well it wouldn't be AHR if there weren't some prizes. But then we ran into a problem. We want this race to be for non-car owners, so we don't want anyone who owns a car showing up pretending that they don't have one in order to try to get the prizes. So we are going to have small prizes to keep away the vultures. More details soon. -fish UPDATE: at 0000 MA time we will begin wormholes from the swamp camp to the race site. If you have the New Switzerland TP already, you can also come that way. The event will be at Calypso (27826, 61144, 153) a bit east of the TP, in OLA#41 east. It is a mining LA and no mobs are there. We are tentatively planning to begin the wormholes at 0000 and start meeting at the site. the first race is tentatively to start at 0100. Please come as early as you can to help us be able to know how many people will be here. If you walk up at 0100 on the nose, i'm going to spit on you and give you a dirty look. A lot of the logistics related to cars are still unknown. Does your weight affect your speed? is the car faster on the road or in the grass? will cutting corners in the track slow you down or make you faster? Nobody knows." Atlas Haven Radio Rocks! And I am not sayin that cos my Mom is a DJ or that my soc Master is da Boss. Nope, hours alone mining the Calypsian outback with nothing more than AHR for company is every Prospectors friend. If you are out there with the Calypso sun beatin down on your tooshy, and you dont have a high-end armor with built-in arco-unit, the music cools you down. Not to mention the calming effects of sounds on fannatic swunters.
