Akbar has left the (PCF) building

O yes, please edit away..what makes a good mod.

 

I think for Akbar, the final photo in his post was his way of driving home (emphatically) the point he was making with his words. However, while I can appreciate that a photo can be worth a thousand of those words, I disagree with his choice of using a real life pic, and agree with OZtwo not including it when he shared Akbar's post. I also agree with RAZER that it should not be included, and disagree that guidelines should be changed to allow it.

Initiating my own self-deactivation at PCF some time ago was a result of many things, and like McC, it wasn't just about moderating, it became personal, and something that grew over time.

Akbar has contributed immensely to our community with his Bestiary at PCF (originally EF), and has educated and entertained us all by sharing his PE/EU experiences through "Akbars Travels" and bubble text comics that kept us laughing, not to mention various other endeavors that have been helpful.

I've witnessed his challenges at PCF, just like I have many others, and for some of us it takes longer to get to the point of saying enough is enough. The unfortunate thing is, it seems to happen too frequently to those who have a great love for this game, and who have invested a great deal of time, effort and PED toward promoting and sharing information and experiences that elevate game-play in some way.

Another unfortunate thing is, far too many continue to treat PCF as though it was still the original EF and an all-universe forum, but my guess is, that's exactly what the plan was for MA and Calypso, and to have the larger portion of the forum-visiting community at their environment.

I too hope that Akbar connects with the EP staff members and can work something out, because it would be a shame not to have all of his hard work not available to those that it benefited so much.

 

I've probably said it before but I still have an EF and PCF account I think. So shout if anyone ever needs me to do anything over there (eg post a for sale or something.... I think that is all PCF is good for now).

I don't think I've had any run ins with Serica that I can remember. Maybe one but was probably just a warning and I don't think I cared to make anything of it. (I honestly can't remember though)

 

Hello Everyone.

At first I agree with tass to remove my PCF post from here. Her administrator powers will give her the possibility to recover it anytime, and use it eventually in a history purpose, even if honnestly I think it would be simply good to forget it all and watch ahead.

Then now, I see one more time that the McCormick's comments and the wonderful's MindStar9 description are reflecting my mood, and the way I see things in a whole.
One more time I display my true friendship to those 2 real humans, thank you my friends.

You all understood (i hope) the meaning of my PCF post, and there is not much more to say, else than move on.
But i'm always ok to talk with people in a contructive and intelligent way.

Now I just end with what I told to Trifle in our pm :
Ak : that was my work, she shitted on my head, so I removed a part of my soul from this forum who really did not deserve it.
Trifle : yeah you got a good point there.

Wait, let me get this straight:

• You post something that a mod removes per the forum rules
  
• You blow a fit so bad, that you attack her personally (which gets removed) & trash your bestiary section (which must have taken an hour or two)
  
• Your attack on her is reposted here by someone else so me and everyone else can read it.
• And the first thing you do when getting here is publicly ask to have these mods alter someone else's post to erase the evidence of what you did?

Man, Akbar, you know I've respected and appreciated your work in many areas. Your sweat work, bestiary, Akbar's travels, etc. I always appreciated. I've told you that and stood for you. I know you have a bad temper at times that gets the best of you but let's face it. That attack on Serica was messed up. Don't like her modding? Fine, but attacking her personally like that was fucked up, man.

Reminds me of a time when MS9 was attacked personally. Complete with fucked up pics etc.

 

What makes a good member and even more a good moderator is the ability "to read" and after to moderate things.
You will notice the Tass post #18 where she/he asking to remove the quote/copy of my thread which was posted by Oz, since I dont see it anymore (*1), and that's a good thing.

(1*) : again the demonstration that delete something is modifying the context of a thread and is leading in people going in fights, hide the truth that people will interpret in a wrong way (classic PCF behaviour) *

So may be before accuse me, you should consert with yourself about your own principles which seem to be messed up, since you agree that my post should be posted on EP, and where you find absolutley legitimate to remove the thread from PCF. If this is not the pure demonstration of hypocrisy, tell me what it is ?

Many times I suggested that you moderators on PCF should have a bit of humility and to try to watch on your feet (like I did again on the post #63 on my ak's travels that serica, deleted (vandalised) again), but you guys are just very good to give advices to other people, but not really good to aplly your own theories.
Talk with moderators on PCF is impossible since you come back with your retarded and hypocrit rules, but that's YOU PCF mods who are telling me to pm you to avoid scandals in the forum, honnestly you really do not know what you want or say... (one more time, anti-democratic, tyrannic and no other definition than hypocrisy here).

Now, about my post : If serica did not delete it, it would be still there, but I knew she would delete it, since her level of cowardness is giving her this only option.
She also deleted (again a way to hide the truth) all posts in this thread from people who were supporting me, which was correponding to 85% (if you remove certain posts from people talking to each others).

Just know that I took screenshots of everything (almost), and that I have absolutely no fear to publish those screens, you remember that I did it in the past, so redo it today is no pb for me.

At least I notice that my thread generated 3 other threads, which had as impact to wake you up (John capital), and serica to behave like a super star from a virtual reality soap.

Last thing, and certainly the most important :

I came to EP to be in peace, and not to switch a fight from a place to another one.
So you would be nice to respect this, since you JC are full of good advices all the time.
You can continue to talk in the vaccum with your friends on PCF.

Hypocrite me? Not at all. I'm well aware that there are multiple Entropia forums run by different people and they all have different rules. EP here is more relaxed about certain things. I've always known that.

In fact, wanna know a secret? I often smiled when the right mod action for me to do was to delete a post that I felt should be left alone, if only to let future viewers know what a truly awful person the poster was. I smiled because I was pretty sure that all the controversial posts were record by someone for historical value.

Plenty of those posts got copy/pasted over to here as I expected and hoped. As I said, different forums, different rules. I've always been perfectly fine with that.

Dude, your post was so bad, that it was removed not only from PCF, but here on EP, too (ironically, with your blessing) So don't go trying to blast her for that. You knew damned well how bad your post was. You made it as intentionally abusive/insulting as possible.

But delete there and she's evil. Delete here and they're heroes.

Yeah, she asked because it's typical for controversial posts on PCF to end up copied over to here for others to find if they wish. But your post was so bad, that it broke even the way more relaxed rules here and she's was asking if there should be an exception due to the nature of the situation. (That being a generally well liked guy leaving PCF after trashing it so publicaly.)

One thing I've always worked hard on doing in all I do: Try to live by the advice I give. Please show me where I did the opposite of what I say? I'd be willing to learn where I'm wrong.

In fairness, when you are forced to completely remove the entire OP, it makes leaving the rest of the thread up pretty worthless. Perhaps maybe she could have completely deleted your post and just closed the thread. But if I asked the mods on this (or any) forum how they would have handled that exact same thread on this forum, I'm guessing the result would be the same.

The only forum I know of that would have kept your thread was EntropiaReality. That place had as close to zero modding as possible. And look how well that turned out for them. (A fun place while it was around, I admit.)

Wake me up how? I'm not a mod any longer and you know that. I've been plenty active on PCF, at least as much as my RL time allows. So that makes no sense.

In short, you want to pretend that what happened on PCF doesn't apply to anywhere else.

 

OK, I see Akbar posted while i was writing my previous reply to his/my debate. I see it's mostly to 711 and he requested to try to move on. I have oh so much I wanna say, not in defense of 711, but little details you mentioned that i have disagreements with.
(OK just one point: You were never banned by me, for a simple reason: You were a mod. Mod's don't have the ability to temp-ban other mods. And there were times in the past your actions deserved such. Why 711 didn't temp-ban you, I don't know nor care. Just putting that out for full disclosure.)

People should SEE that the "Main attraction" in this universe evolves around a select group of people and their assets.

It would indeed be worth more to mention how a great asset this forum (Entropia Planets Forum) proves to be and become.

Not that it in any way will make a realistic chance to change MA and Co from it's path it is taking, it will at least preserve the path it has taken and is taking with all the smelly details.
