Amazon Opens Its Gold Box For Xbox 360 Owners Today

You love video games and your Xbox 360. You love deals. You’ve come to the right place, because this is a heads up that Amazon.com is once again offering a slew of games and accessories all day as part of their latest Gold Box sales promotion.

The whole thing kicked off with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on Xbox 360 for $46.49. There are just a few minutes remaining in this offer, but at the time of this writing only 23 percent of the copies have been sold, so if you’ve been holding out, there’s a good chance you’ll snag a copy if you’re quick. The rest of the offerings are as follows:

• 9:00 AM PDT: “Prepare to journey to the darkest reaches of space in this RPG hit.” -- I would say Mass Effect 2, but that’s clearly the next deal. Any guesses?
• 11:00 AM PDT – “BioWare’s deepest universe to date just got bigger...” -- Told you.
• 2:00 PM PDT – “Rock out with your Stratocaster.” -- Rock Band 2 anyone? Or perhaps a deal on a standalone guitar.
• 4:00 PM PDT – “A legendary war between two of science-fiction’s most popular characters.” -- Aliens vs. Predator seems like a fair guess.
• 6:00 PM PDT – “Charge up your Xbox 360 controllers.” -- No explanation needed.
• 8:00 PM PDT – “This hit franchise comes to life on Xbox 360.” -- Final Fantasy XIII, perhaps? Or any game that’s ever been made ever. I like to keep my options open.

And if you aren’t fast enough to snatch up any of these titles, you can always pick up a copy of BioShock 2 for $40, as that’s today Deal of the Day. Lots of savings to be had today. Have you taken advantage of them?
