ATH 90k !!

Regardless of what MA says, everyone paid for it out of the loot pool. I don't think there are many people who did not know it was coming just from the way they were loosing money. Today (the day after) hunting and mining were good. I think as the ATH's get higher we will all suffer longer. As to what it does for the game, well except for MA's publicity and the person who won it, who else really cares. I would rather see 18 5000pd HOF's instead and not have it taken out of the loot pool as it is now.#-o

 

I voted it was good for the game, but I think it is only good for short-term publicity to PE. I don't think it helps the game long-term, and it certainly does not help the majority of players ingame.

As Bunny mentioned, the ATH do seem to impact on the general loots that everyone else receives in the days before an ATH. I have seen many people chatting ingame and saying that an ATH must be about to happen soon, because of the loot behaviour.

Now I have nothing but Congrats to the people who receive ATHs, especially those who have spent lots of time and money to reach high skills and equipment levels. But MA needs to make the ATH a bonus on top of the normal loots, not drain loots before an ATH happens. I think it is this one aspect that causes the most unrest among players, and the most negative publicity for MA. If the big ATH's came without draining the lootpool, then yes I would think they were a great idea and great publicity for the game.

MA seem to want to attract new players, hoping that at least some of them will deposit into the game, but it seems a pity when this is at the expense of existing players who already are depositing into the game. Yes the huge ATH will generate some publicity, but large numbers of happy players who feel they have reasonable loots that improve as they gain skills are likely to generate far more and better publicity through "word of mouth" and discussion with their friends.

If a new player installs PE to play it, they are more likely imho to deposit and stay ingame if they hear positive comments from their gaming friends, not because they heard somewhere about an ATH. If MA keeps the player-base happy, then the players will advertise and promote PE in their discussions as a constant form of publicity.

I voted yes if I get it :) Im just a poor selfish peson with high dreams lol. Nah I would love to get one of thoose big one but on the other hand I think they can wait with theese kind of hofs until they get the comercial to work and more peds get in to games cirkulation. Players schould not have to pay theese.

These ATH or other Big HOF´s are going to ppl they deserve it , no question.
But if you look at the pasts big HOF´s or ATH´s i bet there is a "gamemaster" like in other rpg´s who select the players which are able to get (find) such loot.
If i remember the stories behind the big ATH´s i feel there are to many contingencies to be a real chance for all players.
This is the reason why i think it is not possible to get such biggi wich is also only for advertising purposes.
