Since this new VU8.9 was implimented the lighting has gotten really bad in my apartment. Enclosed are a few pictures. Was1 when Santa did not outshine the ingots. The ingots had a radiance of their own and was very colorful. Is1 is the result of VU8.9. Santa light is harsh and ingots look like lumps of whatever. LightOff is the way the room look with the light off. LightOn is the way the room looks with the light on. No difference except in lightshade. Is this what I bought this lamp to do. These are just a few of the problems with the lighing system in VU 8.9. I hope they will reverse it so the game at least looks good.
EULA 17c: "You cannot interfere with any other Participant's ability to enjoy the Entropia Universe according to its rules." EULA 17d: "You cannot harass, threaten and cause grief or distress to another Participant in the Entropia Universe." With every new VU, update, patch, bug-fix, whatever, MA interfere with my ability to enjoy Entropia Universe. With every skill and item nerf, change in team rules due to exploiters ( which also is worse for us all ), change to mob behaviour due to autoclickers and trappers ( which also is worse for us all ), breaking the healing ponds due to autoclickers ( which also is worse for us all ), breaking the ability to move after standing up due to sliders ( which also is worse for us all ), breaking lasers so they no longer project a red dot onto the target ( which is actually the reason to have lasers on guns IRL ), breaking the mindforce heal/focus ability, removing weapon attachments from my inventory and making them invisible, breaking the lighting effects inside apartments, making the weapons and tools sound like they are operating underwater, MA cause me grief and distress, and interfere with my ability to enjoy the Entropia Universe. PE was written and created by imho some very clever, insightful and creative people. It is now sadly obvious that many of these people no longer work at MA, and the current staff are unable to manage bug fixes or basic maintenance on the PE code, let alone attempt to add extra code during a VU update. Step 1 is for MA to be subject to, and need to behave to the same rules they expect of the customers. Step 2 is for MA to re-employ the great coders they used to have, or to advertise job vacancies and hire some qualified new coders. Otherwise Step 3 will eventually be that EU is played only by people gathering sweat, with nobody to sell it to and nobody depositing any money. All the $ will be taken with the players when they move to another game. </IMG>
Update on Support Case Got the good old standard reply on my support case. "We have received your email. Thanks for sending us the pictures. We have forwarded the issue to the members of the design team for further investigation. Any irregularities found will be adjusted automatically. Thank you for your patience." So now is a waiting game. :-(
I sent MA a long support case listing which apartment address to look in, and describing a number of lighting issues to be found there. MA response was to ask me to list all the items involved in the lighting issue. Sorry MA but I met my eula obligation and reported a bug, and last time I checked I was a customer not an employee, so you can do your own bug investigation and repairs. :Beaten: :53:
Noticed this in Red's appartment too. To be fair to MA - if you introduce the user of new shaders in a 3d setup like EU, then you do have to revisit eery object to determine how they're going to be effected. Even doubley so with a physics implementation. Hopefully they're cracknig away at it and they'll get it right sooner or later - they fixed the washed out laser colours so only about 6.5 million objects to go...
Re: Bad Lighting Move In VU UPDATE Well the lighting problem is partially solved. The 1/2 of the apartment that did not light up was because of having enblades and blue swords on display. Seems if you have to many of these then the lights don't work properly. Also if you have an Armax plate you will have to throw a rug over it because is is brighter then the sun LOL Thank you Burgerman for spotting the problem. :D
Armax plates are the new Wheeler lamp. hehe If you have an apartment, and an armax plate, you don't need any other lights as the plate is like a mini-sun. Must be from the armax bathing in those toxic ponds - their armour plates now glow in the dark. :hehe:
