Amazon.com: Virtual Justice: The New Laws of Online Worlds (9780300141207): Greg Lastowka: Books You can too!
Started reading again because I quit my part-time job last month and need something to fill my time and to occupy my mind I struggle to concentrate these days but fortunately a friend and neighbour lent me one of those books that you can’t wait to get back to: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Alone-Berlin-Penguin-Modern-Classics/dp/014118938X Loosely based around a true story of a Berlin couple’s campaign to weaken the Nazis by spreading subversive messages written on postcards around the city. The book is written and translated such that it’s very easy to read. Some unpleasant parts of course, as there must be with such subject matter, but the human side of this story more than compensates.
Lol Wistrel you built my hopes up right until I saw the price!! :) I mean, it ought to be life-size and fly for that price (is it, can it?). Also, my brother (aka my boss) has just emailed me a ‘work from home’ deal so I suppose I’d better accept.
That Lego package is indeed quite big when assembled. I'm recovering from some tax shit from last year, or I'd have bought one for my mancave already :D
Just seen the guy holding the finished model on the John Lewis site so yes, it’s big! I’d like one but I don’t know why. :) Edit: back to the book recommendation (“Alone in Berlin”) now reading “Goodbye to Berlin” set 11 years earlier in 1930s.
I hope Magyar reads this.. the reply to his post 8 years later.. Does he still own that castle near Nymphtown?
bah, went ahead and added the link in first post to the Scholarly Publications page over at https://entropialoot.wordpress.com/scholarly-publications/ and to the Link List on pcf. Surprised more folks haven't done papers or books on Entropia yet, but not that surprised considering that there's only so much you can do with it... Quick google search brought up http://klangable.com/blog/cc-books/ that has a free pdf copy of the book.. Direct link http://klangable.com/uploads/books/lastowka.pdf (may need to add some of these books to my calibre ebook library for some bored day reading)
It's way bigger than I originally thought. I saw one fully assembled in Hamleys recently. You need some decent space for it
