  1. In the latest version update; VU 9.3, it is mentioned that atrox and maffoids have been made more difficult to kill - and this isn't wrong! I discovered that hunting maffoids are certainly much harder for me than they were before. It used to take max' 6-7 rounds with an Isis LR32 (L); but a few hours ago, it was taking me 15 rounds or more to kill one:o. I haven't tried the atrox yet since the update, but if the maffoids are this much harder, then I can only guess as to how much harder atrox are...

  2. If they're twice as hard to kill did you get, on average, twice the loot? That's what MA would have us believe...

  3. I hope loots on maffoids get better. I've never looted anything but that thyroid oil from them. Health regeneration has changed too. Lesser no loots.

I found loot to be a tad better BUT not enough to offset the extra ammo and decay, unless you are one of the few who hit the big one. :( More of a trend to the casino side of the game.
I will stick to the non advanced mobs.
Mining is much more difficult now for a minor will have to carry more ammo depending on where they are mining. This is not good in my opinion. It seems MA is trying their best to chase away the players instead of pulling them in.

Yeah I went after the new Feffs. It's way too expensive to kill them now, with very little change in the loot. And if I read their statements correctly it seems this is the trend MA is bent on, making most if not *all* the mobs more expensive to kill. So, it would be wise to expect more of the same sh*t in future VUs.
Pehaps their idea of "balancing" the game is to make hunting just as expensive as crafting.

  6. I think MA are just tyring to make everyone move on from there Korss 400`s and on to the bigger L Weps. we have a huge range of L weps available with loads more DMG/Sec that will kill these mobs much better. I think its a good move by MA, as it gives people the incentive to gain the skills needed to use the bigger L Wepons.

    BUT

Before i get linched by the masses, this is going to depend on MA making the L stuff that little bit more Available and thus a little cheaper.

I think its time people moved on from the Korss 400 and Breer p5 and got working on some of those bigger guns. Come on guys they want us to Advance as a race on calypso and get stronger. They are giving us new tools tro get stonger, Get using em :D

  7. I totally agree with you! But I'm sticking with P5a for now, as there is no (bigger) alternative that is even near the eco of P5a at the moment. I have been waiting for a price drop on the bigger guns for a while, hopefully it will soon come now. We will see what the new VU bring us.

Hey if I can get more DPS with the same amount of ammo, I'm all for it.

IF the weapon is cheap enough to buy over & over & over again, however. I hate (L) for exactly that reason. When I buy something I want to KEEP it till I'm damn good and ready to give it up.

  9. Nope, I didn't get anything like twice the loot; so after four attempts and 40+ rounds of ammo later, I cut my losses and switched to corns (which have not changed) on the neighbouring hill, and started getting much more loot 8)- so im sticking with mobs that haven't changed. I never used to get much loot from maffs either, but I would take one on every now and then just for skilling reasons.

I noticed on Atroxes, yes Atroxes with an "O", that they require a lot more hits to take down, however the damage they deal out does not appear to be increased. This is based on Young, Mature, Olds and Providers as I am too chicken to go any bigger than that. So, as I am able to damage them, and sustain their attacks I complete the kill, before they kill me, using a good deal more ammo or sword-wear...is that a word? As far as loot...the boards look bigger but the numbers aren't noticibly larger so perhaps the increase in the size of the loot image is what MA was reffering to.

    My two cents.
