Biggest update ever for Calypso sept 26th

    Well as an MA official stated yesterday:

    [MindArk Official Supremacy] Oh and i have an announcement to make
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] The largest Calypso update ever is scheduled for September 26.
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] The release is very team oriented and it will take a lot of cooperation to succeed
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] And from MindArks platform side
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] Mentoring!
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] New feature: Disciples will also receive a graduation gift
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] New feature: As you progress in your mentor skill you will move between different reward tiers with unique reward lists
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] Re-design: You can now remove your mentor at any time
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] The disciple reward is intended to encourage disciples to stick with good mentors
    [MindArk Official Supremacy] New feature: you will be able to use skill chips when youre a disciple, the target level will simply move up

    Calypso update will feature 3 new server areas to connect Eudoria and Amethera.

    Thank you for communication, MA. That's the way to go. Now/next time put that on the official website instead of local chat.

    Focusing on player retention a whole 2 years after the major VU10 update? Sorry MindArk but you make the worlds hopeless and inept look positively fucking dynamic.

    They should focus on loot distribution and cost to play because that is a huge issue with this game....

    .....and letting disciples use skill chips is a fucking stupid idea, you should be encouraging them to actually play the game and find their niche (and lets not talk about higher level players farming mentor loot with 2nd avatars and their own skills that would never happen in this game no siree :confused:)

    I was reading another site and wrote that in reply to the other site thinking there was here, 'scuse the confusion.

    If your gonna reply with a troll then expect another in return. If you wish for me to expand on what I was saying then please ask, don't troll with a "No offense" remark and expect me to not be offended!

    As a prelude to the announcement, the MA avatar spawned a number of interesting mobs in the plaza at Twin Peaks. Steelbirds, Eommon Stalkers, Mulcibers, The Eviscerator, Warlocks, and even some of the Hydra series (no, Manticore didn't turret them!). Loot was automagically shared between anyone doing damage.

    One player reported in all chat that he'd gotten a full TT ESI, but I have no confirmation.

    Your response here just didn't make sense considering that it was covered in the opening post. (hopefully quoting it here shows you what I'm trying to explain.

    I truly meant no offense and apologize if you took it that way, but your post just didn't make sense.
    (profanity tends to dumb down the overall impression behind conversation both spoken and written, even if it has no direct relation to the intelligence behind the communicator)(you started with an offensive post and followed up my question with another, how does that help anything?)

    Mentoring!
    New Land Mass between Eudoria and Amethera!
    Treasure Hunting!

    Beacons?
    Cyrene?
    Theryon Wars?
    Arabian Planet? (I doubt this one is close enough to consider in the list)
    Taming?
    New event/quest system catering to the ubers?
    (similar low level implementation for lower and mid level?)
    A use for the hangers/finishing up their vision for privateers?
    Space mining?
    Bigger Space?
    More unforseen updates to space?
    Oprah is taking over advertizing for MindArk?

    Im sure there are other ideas I am forgetting that have been rehashed over and over on the various forums in the past months and years.

    I've put everything I was able to dig up on the wiki: Planet Calypso Content Release 2011.3

    This includes images and very interesting information on 3 new creatures, one of which is supposed to deals 95% of current HP damage to everyone within a specific area.

    If there's more info out there please bring it!

    yawn ... largest update? Do a favour to my little sister, MA: bring back makeup. And do a favour to me and enable me to put items to my apartment at Medusa's Head. After you've solved that issues I will start thinking about come back ... eventually.
