Not exactly surprising. Not sure when it went, the last blog update (the only functioning subdomain http://blog.bluemars.com) is from 2013 and wikipedia stops there too. My client said it is an August 2016 build. You get some interesting errors when you load it now... including a database username and password for a computer on a local network somewhere. Likely wherever it was, it isn't switched on any more. Broken appstore version https://apps.apple.com/app/blue-mars-mobile/id417559429 Looking around I can't find anything past 2016. Seems they just quietly faded away.
I never tried it...I also havent logged back into SC again...but I plan to do one more big adventure there for sure.
aw naw I thought you liked SC. That's a shame... mind you... I enjoyed my first go at No Mans Sky. But also haven't played since! I can't remember what I learnt about how to play now... so I might be best starting again.
SC isnt bad. I havent forgotten my 1st flight to another planet...its is indeed fucking awesome...and I love my small Space Station I got brought to...were I live now..."but there is so much more to come".... ^^ Im truly into other games now and glad I could leave Entropia behind.
If there were skill points for missing out on interesting things, I would be ranking pretty high. Never heard of this SL-like MMO until this thread mentioned it. But "Bluemars" rings fond memories -- there was a site bluemars.org with several nice ambient-style music streams. The streams are no longer served but the site is still online with a farewell message. I never even mistyped it once to arrive at the above.
