Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) dominated the browser market for literally years. However, it's dominant position has gotten more and more threatened by Google's Chrome. Since earlier this year, the fight has gotten closer and closer, with Chrome overtaking IE for a single day, only to have to secede again the next day. However, last week, Chrome passed IE again, this time with Chrome staying ahead. Traditionally, Chrome was most popular during weekends, when users can pick their own favorite browser. Apparently during weekdays, (presumably forced by corporate standards), IE is still the browser of choice. It will be interesting to see whether Chrome will be able to keep the new leading position, or whether IE has some tricks up its sleeve.
i will be very happy if all will use chrome. We are having super hard time coding some that runs correctly in any browser.....and ofc explorer it what create us most problems.
Lol, I didn't realise anybody still used internet exploder unless they were forced to by an inconsiderate website.
well perfectly happy with ie 8 and 9 rc2 (it went pretty pants once actually released) as a day to day browser. I use Opera too cause its ace. Noticed at the cinema the other day MS are advertising ie! What the? Very odd I thought. I've always found Chrome to be buggy slow and crash a lot + no mouse gestures out of the box
