    I don't see why not?

  3. If someone know how do this it would be nice to have also on wiki CLD price in PEDs column and % roi calculated from that.

[edit] after reading your post again I think you meant something different then I though. You are looking for the real price in PED as they are at that moment calculated to a ROI. Possible, but the prices change almost daily, so not a 100% sure how to do that to be honest.

  5. It is changing every day but we could remember every monday price same as USD-EUR price that is added.

    I agree.
Well I'm willing to build the wiki pages for it (if Tass has not done that already) and if you are willing to fill in the data every week, I think we are on to something.

I have done the same for my auction tracker (number of auction pages for every planet) which is a lot more complicated then a CLD MU tracker, so that could be done in a few minutes probably. But we need somebody, or everybody, to fill in the needed info at any day.

  7. Every day could be hard. But once a week using average week price from "Virtual Tycoon" (there are real percent not only nines) should work.

Could be every day or ones a week, should not matter. We could do average or just the value of every day on the graph.

Added a field simply called "Markup" to the form as well as to the table there: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/CLD#Table

Depending on the data added there we can rename it, implement calculations, plot graphs, etc

Any idea how to get historic data?

  10. I was trying put there % from virtual Tycoon but field was too short. I think better idea is to put there Market Price in PEDs. It could be calculated from VT or just getted from peauction. I will try, when got some time, put historical price from peauction data calculated to week averages.

  11. I wrote some approximated historical prices for CLDs.

Thanks for the effort! How many characters would the field require to add % from Virtual Tycoon?

I guess it's easier to copy the number from Virtual Tycoon and then let the wiki calculate the market price in PED.

  13. I uploaded printscreen (VTACCL2.png) from Virtual Tycoon application showing real percentages of CLD MU. I'm always taking week average price at every monday. From that percentages MU, in peds, can be calculated. And all other printscreens if someone want make detailed instruction how get to MU information.

Great, I finally managed to integrate these instructions directly into the form as an expandable element. They are also on the CLD main page ("How to get Calypso Land Deeds Markup from Virtual Tycoon?")

So CLD revenues are on an All Time Low: 18.36% considering a value of 1000 PED/deed. Considering current markup value it's only 12.12%. The market value seems to be 'plateauing'.

VU 14.3 will probably change that but on the other hand the long-term trendline is really somewhat depressing...

And none of the systems announced seems to be available in the near future:
    • "Calypso Citizenship land grab ... This system development is scheduled to begin in 2012."
    • "comprehensive political system ... This system development is also scheduled to begin in 2012."
    • "Lot Deed holders will be able to build house(s) ... This system development is scheduled to begin in 2013."

Nevertheless people still seem to buy CLDs. From an investment perspective, what would you consider a reasonable prize for CLDs?

  16. It's actually quite hilarious to think of how much they did not backup with the CLD;s other than just getting a few ped.

  18. EU is broken. People are not playing. It causes lower revenue and broken auction is causing lower week price.

  19. I have no idea how now read markup of CLD from auction. Could any1 explain this? I see e.g. 2013.09.26 10:57 tt+4318.97 for 6 CLDs sold. It mean that one CLD was for tt+719.82 PEDs or it was realy 4.5k PEDs for each? Or 2013.09.28 17:55 tt+1762.1 for 2 CLDs sold. It mean that one CLD was for tt+881.05 PEDs or 2013.10.01 20:01 tt+1576.14 for 1 CLDs sold. Is it true that week average MU is tt+5136.38? All data is in attached images.

Tas I think its a little bit like the journalism of the popular press to wait till something is explainably doing bad one week then use that data to paint a picture of doom and gloom for the future. Its a little bit like writing an article about how the British tourist trade is doomed because there was one wet bank holiday weekend and most tourist destinations had low takings because of.

OK I appreciate the trend is generally a shallow angle downwards even ignoring the last week but still, ignoring the last week is only fair. MA fuck up occasionally but when they do they are normally on it fairly fast. Does anyone remember the first physics engine? It was a patch a day for a week or something! There was a delay after that while they waited for PhysX to sort something then things were dandy from what I recall.

But anyhow back on the CLD's. Investment I think a reasonable return on a high risk investment like this would have to be something like double that of a good real life investment. So say you have some shares that give, I don't know, maybe 8% return in dividends? I think CLD's would need to be double that at last. So yeh, if it gets below 16% of the original 1k peds for a significant period it might be worth reconsidering the investment might be better in something else.

As for the people who are paying more and more for them I think they are doing so only on the hopes that the price per deed for resale will continue to increase.

Still, at least we should be thankful they have not gone the way of Anshe's Dreamlandstock exchange shares. They spiraled into nothing and Anshe laughed all the way to the bank... well actually "she" (its a gestalt entity) probably didn't cause I imagine the banks themselves turned out to be a bit of a dog's dinner of an investment. Are any of them even still running?
