Saw this this morning from a news article on google: The mimic octopus, that not only can change its colors to hide or protect itself, but actually changes its own shape and way to move to throw off potential predators.

How awesome would mobs like this be to hunt? Or worse, imagine spotting an Exarosaur that when you start shooting it turns out to be a Trox Stalker hoping for some quick colonist meal? :D

  2. Hi,

    Awesomeness! Want this! ;-)))

Imagine a quite rare mob that hasn't an defined spawn. That would often loot something special, anything out of the ordinary - a special series of gear maybe? Like the Smuggler stuff on Arkadia?

This mob would single-spawn randomly over the place, rarely, and would then mimic the mobs nearby, with maybe 1.5 - 2 x the thread of these. It would only reveal itself when hurt, so you'd never know how to find it.

But every once in a while one of your target mobs would start to morph into an impressive monster, a good piece harder then the prey you attacked initially, and with a good chance to loot something worthwhile ...

Like the "strange signals", just for hunting :)

    Have a good time!
