cannot start entropia

hey,,

started entropia today and another small update took place, after it finished i tried to start but kept getting the message

renderer creation error, directx renderer could not be created. Possible reason the vidoe card do not have enough available video memory. shut down other programs and try again.


This has never happened before with entropia or anything else, i have shut down everything bar security and it still wont load, i have submitted support case.... in the meantime any ideas

 

lots of screaming and 25 computer restarts AND it working :D

 

was talking to guy in computer shop today and he said to change virtual memory as mine is always trying to do it itself, anyway changed it from 144 to max of 288, pc in the shop was something like 1440!!??

also my graphics card is a geforce440, and he recomended a new one, think it was a 7600 ? £95 he wants and quoted £30 for another 512mb or ram (already have 512)

may be due an update, either way probably be next month before i do it, my mate knows more about pc's than me so will take him along :D

 

got (new) graphics card installed, free of charge from my mate :)

its an x series v9520. not the latest or best BUT better than what i had and a much better price than the shop quoted :))

Installed ok and updated , had a quick go on a couple of games and works fine, graphics are better and seems to run smoother, no juddering as yet when new things appear...
