Hello all :) We finaly decided to visit Rome I've been there a couple of times, but Peter never experienced this awesome and beautiful city. Yesterday we booked the flights for NewYear and we're really looking forward to the trip (personally I feel like a child before x-mass) One of our very own Entropians Ron Kovich has a hotel, www.sweetholidayrome.com, in the center of Rome, and we booked a room there for 5 nights. The hotel is wonderful located very close to everything - short walk to the Vatican - but also to the Spanish square and steps, Castle Sant Angelo - and with a good and nice walk to Colloseum! There's metro stations nearby which will easily lead you around, if you need to see more than what is in a walking distance from the hotel! Around the hotel is also a lot of cafees and restaurants - and plenty of places to go shopping, if you're up for that. We asked Ron if he could recommand a good italian restaurant for NewYears eve - with a REAL italian cuisine and preferly a local cosy place (with Grappa :D)! I also looked into the Italian NewYears traditions and there will be plenty of events around and music, fireworks etc. to look at. So, If ANY of you are in Rome NewYears eve it would be great to meet up for a glass of champagne or(and?) a Beer :D Viva Roma Peter & Lykke (icantwaiticantwaiticantwait)

That sounds lovely, I haven't been to Rome yet and really want to go sometime. I am sure you will have a great time Totally off-topic: I am flying this week to Tanzania for a couple of weeks of Safari followed by a few days in the beaches of Zanzibar :D
OH damn, that sounds incredibly nice!!! Remember also to post some screenies of the elephants (*here's a picture of Kosh...* OH *Here's a picture taken a few minutes later of a nice little lion* ... *Here's a picture of Kosh running through the bushes ...* :D )? I'm sure THAT is gonna be a trip for life!!! :)
