    Well, when it closed (after being prolonged a few days over the initial deadline due to "lots of interest"), it was under 100k USD. But some unnamed investors apparently decided that the following passage in the FAQ "During a Token sale (also known as a Token Generation Event), in contrast, participants are making charitable contributions towards a cause they believe in" was too good of an opportunity to pass up, and so MindArk wrapped up the ICO by declaring they raised over 12 million USD.

    Just enough to be able to submit for a bank license as they posted on FB but then soon all kind of died and then a little later they started talking about phase B.... As I posted on Facebook: this isn't EU and you need to watch what you do closely or you could end up having to close down MA all. I know my post had nothing to do with it, but few days later was when all closed down.

    12 million is decent amount. Should allow them to concentrate on development and set up mindbank finally.

    The website more or less. They added the notification and removed the registration option. As well they stopped posting on FB other than the auto repost you see every other week about what MA did 12 years ago. But no, when I say they 'closed down' I'm not saying there is really any effect on the DTA -- that I know of.

    And for the 12 million, hate to say it but I don't think such a sale happened.

    Yeh, no one really believes that someone paid (what some estimate to be) double the value of MA as a whole company, for some useless tokens that will almost certainly never amount to anything.

    If you are gonna chuck those readies around, why not just buy the company?

    Checking the page now I see they are just posting (auto posts) world news about blockchain and crypto news but there last post about them was on June 3rd:

    Yeah, not sure, but I think it wasn't double but half of MA's value which again set off my little red lights since at the the time I was thinking the new CEO was outside of MA coming into it and using our assets and then running leaving MA with user lost money.

    All stats and events quoted by MA is "old". The numbers they used in the press release pointed back to the revenue from 2013/2014. The project they did for NASA was in 2008, etc. The current/recent numbers are apparently not worth mentioning, so instead they're going by their "glory years", and hoping nobody will check.

    The "people" on the deeptoken subreddit, as well as the ones on a cryptocurrency forum MA posted on certainly didn't bother, and were just parroting one another, stuff MA tweeted, or plain made shit up in order to make it sound as if DTA was the best thing since sliced bread.

    So, more then 1 year ago, Neverdie initialized this whole crypto-scam-disaster...and MindArk blindly followed...with yet another disaster,
    by letting young Henrik Nel Jerkrot become the new CEO...who instantly convinced MA with his Crypto-Knowledge, to announce their own token.

    We never heard of the Token again. The sale was a fail.
    The posts on reddit were a mess, filled with lies and bullshit...created by spam-bots...way to go MindArk, way to go.

    To our surprise, "Round 2 of the Sales" never happened. x'D

    We never even heard anything again about the CEO himself.

    But dont panic, ex-CEO Klas Moreau wanted to double the amount of participants...it never happened...and that was his only "speech" anyway. I wonder what the next CEO will say...maybe it will be David Simmonds again ? x'D
