At this moment I’m working my ass off to get a film ready for schoolpresentation.
It’s a crossover from real film in front of a green-screen and 3D-animation. Hard work is still in progress to finnish the thing before monday (semi presentation) and the monday after (finished movie presentation). The biggest problem is that we don’t have any clue what the title would be. So here I am and hope that you guy’s and gal’s can help me and my group out....


Competition rules.

You can enter as many titles as you want. There are no futher rules exept that it can’t be a title that everybody knows already.
Please send all your ideas in before 25 oct. noon ET. If there is no perfect title by then the deadline will be a couple of days later.
Deadline moved up to midnight 28 oct. ET.


Synopsys

After the titlescreen we see a girl (age 10-13) in a cold room (7x5x3 meters). Looks a little like an abandonded hospital room/ madhouse room. No furniture can be found. The girl is mechanicaly drawing lines in a piece of paper. No figures just lines. When she is done putting lines onto it she puts it somewhere around her. As we look further away we see that she put them all around her. As she is drawing more lines on other papersheets she sees a line come to live and heading for the wall. More lines are starting to move and go other ways to the walls. Ariving at the wall the move on too the sealing, coming more to life and forming ‘abstract trees’ (see image) and keep on going over the sealing until the hit the center and form a sort of tornado that will blind the light. A sweet insect-like creature comes out of the lines and a orangy dreamy land will appear. The girl starts to play with the bug in her perfect world but after a while she grabs the bug a little to hard and ‘explodes’ into a lightray blinding everybody and turning the screen White. We focus and we see the girl staring past the camera, sitting on the floor between het drawings. She is in her trance and visualy sad that her dreamy world is gone. In a big zoomout we see that we are looking trough a round window in the door to her room.


Prize:
Winner gets the DVD.
The presentation will be the film without any sound. This because the sound designer that school hired doesn’t have time untill end of the year. So the DVD still needs some time too be finished

We really apriciated all the efford and creativity that was taken into imaginating the title. I post the final title here when someone will win the fight over all the ideas. ( I mean really fight ;) )

The short is getting allong fine. Still enough technical difficulties and errors in wrong places and times, but we are strongly moving on. Monday will be judgementday

AFter that some fine tuning wil be done and in week 51 a sounddesigner will give us lessons in how too make good sound......... sooo after that it will finally be done. :yahoo:

OKE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR THE RESULT.
so here it is....

*drum-roll*

We really argued hard about the name and sadly we didn't choose a name that was submitted... However I was very in love with one name. I defended it till the end, but a other name won at the end.
The name and the description of the name was perfect as far as I thought. But we ended up with a name that was less revealing and more basic. None of you could have come up with it because it is the room in wich it all happens and that info was only known to the makers.
The name that is chosen is...

Because I came up with that name I have to send a dvd to myself.... but instead of that I decided to give the dvd to the title I fell in love with.
AND THAT TITLE IS...

"Between two points"
in reference to the shortest distance being a straight line, also might hint at the points of reality and fantasy, with the girl being in between them. *BURGERMAN*
