CryEngine Speculation Thread!

No sense here to discuss about that.
As long as you do not have an agreement with MA (i.e. the terminals,...) it will stay a dream.
Of course you have a lot of ideas. But perhaps it would be better to concentrate on one thing. Or is the "Land Area" story already history?

Furthermore, I do not see the link to the CryEngine. People love to play the game not because the graphic, but because of the feeling and the possibilities in game. You also have to consider that there might be a loss of players by introducing the new engine. Like it was after every major update.
And, as there is a steady flow of newcommers, there is a steady flow of people chipping out and leaving the game.

I think one of the main things that may turn up are vehicles - cars, hoverbikes, maybe even rideable pets.
I get this feeling because all of these things had been rumoured in some way before MA went engine shopping - I think they realised that to do some of this stuff they needed more 'grunt under the hood', meaning capabilities of the engine.

The loss of players seems to be at a devestating level, I hope for them and us that they get it done soon!

THe other thing to mention is that once they implement cryengine, iron out the immediate ugs, there may be some capacity in MA to start developing new features again, so hopefully we'll see a lot of new stuff.
Personally I'd like to see a better crafting system, maybe a little like SL where you an actually construct stuff, not just press the button.

yea Cars..vehicles of all kinds have been discussed for ages
Personally I think what we will see regarding that is "tanks", armored weapon system för larger mobs. :twocents:

regarding what better graphic will bring, except more lag, I think we will se more bull#¤%& professions like the Beauty\hardresser stuff
But it could ofcourse also mean a boost for the tailoring\texture profession

Anyway,who knows...maybe we get nothing

As far as functionality is concerned, I would expect to see little if any change. I would guess just getting what they have to interface with the new engine and generating the new look will be a big enough job :).

 

of course this isn't EF.;) We are a small community, compared to EF, and I think the responses you already got here are not ironfisted. And I didn't see that some of your posts are banned/ blocked/ hijacked.
But you have also take into account that most of the active users here in the forum are very familiar with EU, because we played it already for years. So we know what has happened, and your ideas are "old" (no disrespect here), we saw them in the past. But this does not mean that these ideas are bad, no doubts.
Honestly you should listen to the ppl responding in your threads, they do not use the hammer to blame you, they try to give you some advice on your ideas.
And we all love it to see someone who has luck with his ideas.

Comming back to my post before I have the feeling that you try to do too much, this could go wrong easily. And you raise your ideas believing that MA will fully support them. This could also be a mistake.
There was no intention of hard feelings or ironfist in my post. Sorry if you understand that wrong.
