I just wikified an image of the updated Cyrene world model Ed published yesterday (sorry for the delay :( ). Looks like Cyrene features quite a few continents (it even has a copy of Australia). Another development you can conclude by comparing the old image with the new one is the fact that Ed meanwhile got his office furnished :). This is the OLD one: And that is the NEW one: And also the Cyrene wiki page now displays the latest 3 tweets of Planet Cyrene's official twitter. And tyvm for mentioning the wiki on twitter :) Let's hope this circular referencing doesn't make the universe collapse.
BTW, I also posted another picture on the Cyrene Gallery. Its shows off another bit of the planet that was cut off from the first picture.
I noticed that one :) here is the link to it: Planet Cyrene Model 2 - EntropiaPlanets Gallery The quote about it states: "This is a side view that shows off a little more of one of the continents on Cyrene. This particular continent is "end game" specific. Here much of the deep storyline of Planet Cyrene will be revealed, along with a unique race to combat." End game specific? is revealing in itself...There is a story ..wooot love it ! Ofcourse fires a whole lot of imagination, when will we get to "end game"? what if we choose option and never make it to end game:( What do we do after end game? maybe continue on another storyline? or is it the end end (can't imagine that)
Well color my purple ass excited ... I'm just blown away by all of this interactiveness ... it's like a love fest up in here. Ed? ... you're going to spoil us rotten, but ... DON'T STOP I think this community has been more excited about Planet Cyrene than any other planet to be honest, because posts seem to be pointing in that direction (here and elsewhere), and I know with each reveal, it just gets more intriguing ... And did someone mention storyline?
Thanx for the picture Ed. It will be an interesting planet for sure, can't wait :) I'm pretty interested about that wall in the background to, do I see a vehicle or 2 at the bottom??
Looking great, Ed :) Anything that any of us can do to help you guys be done faster? As MindStar stated, Cyrene is probably the one planet most Entropians are looking out for, as you and your team seem to have taken all the good things from the RCE platform, and then made up for whatever was lacking.
MS9, unless you did something really wierd on avatar creation... if your ass is purple than someone already did the job. LOL Back to the topic... I think it's extremely cool that the Cyrene guys built a globe to help plan their creation. I also like how it appears to be a focal spot in their workspace. It's got to be edifying to look from your desk to that globe and think to yourself "I'm building that!" :)
I was thinking along similar lines earlier. If you look at the first pics http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/File:Cyrene-planet-model.jpg they had the world model and some other terrain models made first. We just see the offices as an empty warehouse with nothing in except the models (not the beautiful woman the world model ;) ). So that's the very first thing they made and developed the whole game from there... It's interesting to see what the offices look like now. There's even some "pirate" treasure chests in the new pic.One has it's lid open the other closed and sits next to ed's favourite whisky :) Then we see the tables with artwork and water bottles. The walls have interesting pictures, though it's difficult to make out clearly whats on them. Ed's picture on the wiki: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/File:Planet-cyrene-ed-robles.jpg (which can also be found on digital scryers website) shows some of these pictures on the wall more clearly. For example I can make out a "hawk" like mob on both pictures. Some parts of the pics i can't make out but look really intriguing, like the golden part on the top right of ed's pic. Seems like some gigantic spaceship type thing or perhaps a building with odd lighting effect.
I am really loving all the Planet Cyrene stuf you have released and I am very excited about it, keep up the good work guys!!
