David Post: diary of a launch Next Island

Discussion in 'Next Island' started by EP-Newsbot, Jul 15, 2011.

  1. Can you feel my pain and pleasure? Launching a company is fun when your doing it but much more fun when you reminisce after a success. This week I am focusing on getting traction and opening the doors to capital. I went to a networking conference the other evening out on a terrace in weather that felt like 100 degrees. 300 people sweating and some even worse. I met a few people and I have noticed that the 21-27 age set is far more aggressive which is a positive thing. Found a few possible leads but enjoyed the shower later than the event. I had some possible progress on capital meeting with a group who talked not just about how they could help (everyone does that) but about specific things that would move the company forward. They now have the inside track.
talk soon – let me know your war stroies and comments on mine.
