David Post: Diary of a Launch Next Island

Discussion in 'Next Island' started by EP-Newsbot, Aug 31, 2011.

  1. Am trying to develop strategies that lure new players to Next Island to sign up, and make present players happy. In order to grow I need to satisfy both groups. We are thinking about giveaways and raffles as immediate opportunities as we progress with our second sprint of new content being released in late October. We think the new content will make all players excited. Having built successful companies in the past I am aware of the challenges to please customers, subscribers and players and I am committed to making this happen. Again I am open to ideas you have.
    Thanks

In case the thread here will be moved.
I think building a good ingame economy will make more people willing to stay there.
If you think that what is in there makes any sense and you want to make some changes to your planet, and you want to have some specific views on small scale systems you have or plan to have, I can elaborate on those. I would love to see your planet - and any other planet, for that matter - becoming a success, and I will do all I can to help.

I can see that you have good intentions and I appreciate this. But from your decisions is also visible that you do not have the experience of a player that has played the game in all aspects and all professions. If you manage to overcome this aspect, I see good things in future.
