I have a prepaid Visa debit card. How do I register this card at Entropias My Card page? There is an eight digit activation code required that I am supposed to glean from a billing statement that does not exist with a prepaid card. People in the game have told me that they are using cards like mine to deposit with no problem. However, I have not been able to discover how they are doing this. I have had several dialogs with Support. They persist in advising me on how to deposit with a credit card; missing the point entirely. Some, if not most of you are using prepaid cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc) to deposit. HOW IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IT!
EDIT: I checked EU site again. I have to correct some mistakes I made here. Firstly, your card has to be able to be used for Internet Transactions. Secondly, EU site requests the card number, expiry date and holder name. Your card contains all 3 of them engraved on it. Third, you need the code you mentioned only for activating the card to be able to deposit more. No need to activate it if you plan to deposit no more than 100PED per month (btw activation raises the limit to 30000PED per month) MOST Important of the above factors for you to check, is the First one. Ask your bank whether your card is able to be used for Internet Transactions. If not, then you have to get another one, or ask the bank to activate this feature. Now my previous post has been corrected. :-k #-o
Visa is just a method of payment, credit or debit makes no difference, go to the entropia website, login as you register the card and make a payment. it is that simple.
There is something tricky here Cee. At least in my country. Some banks do not allow some debit cards to be used for the Net... :( I had that problem and had to change bank not just my card. Now everything run as normal. Perhaps fubar here has the same problem.
I have not come across that restriction before, the only one I know of is not being able to use a credit card in a pub :).
Thank you everyone for your most helpful comments on my debit card depositing problem. Especially, thank you Phoenix for pointing out that I need not activate my card to register it. In fact, activation comes after registration not before. This is information not obvious to the literal-minded (lol). The layout of the card registry page on the EntropiaUniverse website contributes to this confusion by having the activation portion above the registry area... I have amended my support claim to Mindark to reflect this information. You guys are way smarter than they are! In two responses to me they persisted in assuming my debit card to be a credit card...Based on the information they provided I would have given up in abject frustration. Cudo's and an extra slice on pie for everyone!!!
