It’s kind of ironic that MindArk created a game where avatar reputation and trustworthiness becomes important. Then the creator of the game loses the trust of the community, earns itself a bad reputation in terms of broken promises, incompetence and greed etc., etc. I think they should do something radical like invite a representative from eg. each of the top 20 societies plus some lower skilled players to be part of some think-tank to help them regain trust and put them back on the right track (if it’s not too late for that).
... or some of the few bastards not from societies who put their heart and soul into the game with running and supporting player events over all these years. Or providing MA with tons of serious suggestions and ideas. Alas, you ask for a dream, Velo. Forget it! I agree with McCormick: it's just a big scam and will never be something else.
You could just have Wistrel as Advisor on the history, events and storyline and McCormick to take over as CEO and the game would be fixed in two weeks.
lol could you imagine? ha ha I'd immediately hire Kira Red and Epic Epicetus to help with stories/missions/continuity and Jamira to work on building models. First job for Jamira would be to make sure every door is capable of opening. Then I'd have apartments made at PA in the big tower thingy and the Museum. Next would be working on Zychion and getting the battle debris back strewn accross the landscape actually this would come first maybe :D. Would hire Neil stockton (iirc) as community manager. Would also re hire the guy who did the Archipelago to start tidying up the whole landscape on Eudoria.
Yes I can imagine Wistrel. Gamers who genuinely care and have the knowledge and dedication to resurrect Entropia Universe. Would probably need a bankruptcy followed by a player buyout and stuff like shareholders and current employees and money would need to be sort out. But yes...
http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...A-Bank-privacy-concerns-future-of-withdrawals interesting part about content developers ... does this mean they will use their token to outsource content creation, that can be licensed by planets/partners?
Help I’m having a crysis! :) For reasons that I don’t understand (stupidity, self-destruction and urge to become broke I’d guess) I’m seriously now considering buying some DT. Whilst I know for certain that this will end up losing me money, the force is strong (I claim copyright on that phrase). I’m not even asking for help nor advice - I understand that it’s too late, I’m too far gone and can’t be saved. :( Pray for me.
If I knew what they were and had any money left I would. Anyway, the deed is now done. I feel like a sinner.
Heathen. I think we should create a separate usergroup on EP for all those who against better will threw their hard-earned money at this latest scam.
I just read the thread on PCF. There's a few people stating that the sales were real low, but one day somehow 50k tokens were sold (according to the deeptoken website, anyway). Except that/those transactions do not show up in the ledger (which can be found here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x3dc865e42ec1c39093ff531fcfc1b4d502f52b4f). I fully admit I know too little about these kind of things, but shouldn't every sale show on the ledger? Isn't that the whole fricking point of blockchain?
So MindArk is accepting payments outside the blockchain network, meaning essentially there's no way to verify the trasaction actually happened, other than by a single ledger held by MindArk? lol. This gets better by the day.
Yeh I think it should show up. So yes maybe some large amount were sold indeed, the money would change hands to MA who are the soul owner of DeepShit. This would be in say USD. In return MA should transfer X amount of deepshit to the address provided by the person who bought it. So if they didn't transfer it yet that does seem a little odd. It would imply that either the hard cash has not yet been transferred OR that MA have not yet transferred the deepshit. If the latter, one has to ask why... would it be maybe that not enough deepshit has been created (mined?) yet? This is where I get vague myself. I've picked up most of my knowledge on Crypto currency from Az and even then not all of it makes sense or sticks. I do find it hard to take too much of an interest in something I don't yet believe in though. From what Az makes out, the system is fundamentally broken and cannot change because the people mining don't want it to. So stale mate. We have to wait till someone comes up with something that is actually sensible and practical and doesn't cost stupid amounts of time and money to process transactions. Wistrel
I spent some more time thinking about their IP Exchange. If I am not mistaking, basically MA is creating a blockchain version of the Unity Asset Store. You as an asset creator can sell it to others. Through MindArk. Who hardly anyone ever heard of. Whose website isn't exactly very high on the daily visitor count, because well, they're an obscure player in the gaming market, and what MA offers is garbage.
