Transactions not showing up in the ledger? isn't that like... the whole point? (oh wait no it was just to get money out of people sorry yeh I forgot)
I'll just leave this here... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3132717.0 Apparently Entropians aren't the only ones MindArk hopes to sucker into this project. And for some reason most of those people in that thread seem to take MA's claims and marketing hooha at face value, rather than doing their own due diligence and looking at the past projects / cash raising attempts by MindArk. Thank god for that, because they might find out about Compet, the failure of MindArk to deliver the statues they sold, the failure to deliver the political/voting system from the CLDs, the failure to deliver 1 billion jobs by the president of Virtual Reality "election" MindArk organised, the failure to dabble in real estate, the failure of the debit card, the failure of the three latest partners, the failure of the other planet partners, and the failure to attract more than a few thousand concurrent players in EU as a whole.
Just throwing this out there because all information is potentially useful I think if only for a laugh... I contacted DT support just now and suggested they add DT to the icodrops.com website that lists icos and was told that they’re already in the process of doing so.
I just thought when Dominik the DT Support guy told me that they were already in the process of adding DT to the icodrops website I suggested they use “I’m not sure if I believe you. Maybe you’re just fobbing me off”? I thought it but didn’t say it. But possible of course he was telling the truth and it’s me that’s paranoid. Same when I queried the extra 25% of DT that suddenly appeared in my account. Cloud, the DT support guy, explained to me that they’d now decided to give bonuses and an announcement about it had now been added to the DT website. All well and good, he had fully answered my query. But as I was saying ‘bye, many thanks for your help’ (as you do) he replied “bye, enjoy your 25% bonus”. I just thought his last bit was completely unnecessary and I’m sure he was taking the piss. <grrrr>
I guess they are reading this forum... I might have nightmares about people coming for me in the night saying "that there tower you printed there... looks an awful lot like our 3d asset but we can't see you having bought it in the our blockchain - can we interest you in some deepcoin?". You know, they could just sell the assets in the webshop or something if they want to. They could even sell the high res meshes if they wanted to. No need to fart out a blockchain if they want to make money this way. They could just put them on someone else's website if they wanted to - and so could everyone else with their own assets.... as they do.
That's exactly what Unity did: https://assetstore.unity.com/ No need for a blockchain whatsoever. MindArk once again failed to come up with anything original. Just regurgitating, as per usual.
Came across this article. I thought it was pretty interesting :) https://medium.com/@kaistinchcombe/...-is-actually-a-medieval-hellhole-c1ca122efdec Building trust. The one thing MindArk consistently fails at. And then hopes people will trust them enough to use their homegrown solution (and anyone who think that will work flawlessly should have a long hard good look at MA's release history), rather than the dozens of other solutions out there built and maintained by far more reputable companies. I just checked, and the current number of tokens sold is at 88k, which includes the 25k bonus that was handed out. Something tells me that deeptoken will go the ComPet way, and whoever was naive enough to drop money should prepare for a major disappointment. Oh, and MindArk will have to figure out another way to get their hands on some cash to keep the company running. Let's hope that when they start sending people away they will start with management.
I was talking to friend the other day who said something like. "I get the impression that the majority of people employed now simply create work rather than actually do any". I laughed my head off. Have to admit he does have a point. Where I work there does seem to be an absolute legion of people employed to do nothing more than talk about things they'd like a very very very few people, who actually are capable of actually doing things, to do. This is, of course, as long as they don't actually have to make any decisions that is. If there is a decision to be made, that will have be "escalated", where upon a bunch of druids (in my mind) who don't understand the decision, let alone the thing it relates to, will sit there and wonder why nothing ever seems to get done, bat it back and just tell the middle management "to get on with it". Then they go back to the do'ers and try to side step the fact that they don't actually have a firm handle yet on what they are asking for. Sigh... it must be friday. Wistrel
During this first round, we have been grateful and impressed by the vast amount of input from our supporters, investors, and industry partners.
I feel like a kid who was just told that all my brown smarties in the piggybank have now been exchanged for green ones. And while I don't understand any of this gobbledigook, I'm beginning to suspect that they can and will do this until the cows come home. What ist it next time, yellow or maybe orange already? But they ain't gonna become more, are they? Somehow our old-school fairytales felt more satisfying. At least they had magic in them. I think I'm not gonna listen anymore until it rains chocolates.
By the way, I don't get why anyone would be surprised at the announcement of additional funding rounds. It's right there in their prospectus: With that said, I'm still skeptical about the investors who decided to just piss away 12 million USD on a project with MindArk.
Originally they promised there would be no airdrops, to not hurt their valuable customers. They felt its so wrong to do airdrops. They were serious. Then they realized noone buys DeepTokens and announced airdrops happily. Honestly ? Also dont forget, that they announced all unsold tokens would be "destroyed". On top of it they come up with a secret 12 million dollar investor after the deadline...and then dare to announce there will be DTB, DTC, DDT sales...this way tokens will never get destroyed. x'D Honestly ?! No idea what else one has to explain here...about the swedish tradition of excellent scamming.

But if that's the case, it would have been so for over a decade with nothing learned between one and the next. I am usually inclined to go with Hanlon's razor, but ever more often someone throws a monkey wrench. I refuse to believe, though. Everything is about probability and managing risk. https://gizmodo.com/google-removes-nearly-all-mentions-of-dont-be-evil-from-1826153393
Yes I asked one of their DT support guys that specific question, would unsold DT be destroyed and he confirmed that would be the case. Now if he knew that there would be another DT issue, call if DT2 or DTb or whatever, by any standards of honesty then that would have been the time to tell me this.
