On PCF, there's currently a discussion about the statues sold, but never delivered by MindArk. The last two posts (at the moment of writing this) both include information pointing at places to register consumer complaints: Rick, of course, is the poor guy who bought $5.000 (US) worth of Compet deeds. Seeing he apparently has this information handy, it's fair to assume that he has already sent in a complaint. The post by SAN points at a consumer protection agency in Sweden tasked with safeguarding consumer interests. The second link is to the EU Justice's small claims court. Ouch. In itself, I doubt a few complaints would cause any serious concern, but if this starts being a trend, it could cause an avalanche effect. In the meantime, we will patiently await the overdue announcement of the 12 million USD investors.
Rick no longer believing :OOOOOOOO Ill check it out tonight. If its not only for swedish residents, it wont hurt (lol) to send them...everything. :)
The small claims court and several hints at legal recourse have been given before. I can't believe it is me who hates lawyers to the core doing the homework for others. Nor can I believe that this is dragging on for so long with nobody doing anything about it other than turn up regularly and vent. These things can be found in less than a minute and people complain to consumer organisations when they've been sold expired yoghurt or force multi-million dollar companies to apologize over politically incorrect advertisement. And here people who are out several hundreds to several thousands can't get on their hind legs? It is surreal.
I posted something in a similar vein here: http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/land-plots-planet-arkadia.14152/page-9 Post 178 and also see post 193 for some additional fun. Agree with San; hate that lawyers exist, but nothing else to do I guess. These companies obviously don't care about the complaints.
Lawyers are scary and expensive, I understand that. But it doesn't even take a lawyer, or more precisely, the procedure explicitly excludes the involvement of lawyers. That's the trick to find out if they'd care to read just for a moment. And the fees are so small, they're just symbolic. If the other thing with the landplots doesn't get resolved soon, Singapore has a small claims tribunal, too. Commonwealth country, much compatible with the British. Costs $10 (SGD that is, so even less), a simple web search to dig up and a phone call to a friendly clerk to learn about the way to access it as non-resident foreigner. But they'll have to do that themselves. Would be sad in the latter case if it came to this, but too much time has passed there, too, with the forists beginning to make fools of themselves. I don't wish them more trouble than they already have, but this is the business world and MA will have another thing coming from AS if they are the ones behind the blockage. No contractual enforced silence or loyalty can be upheld if AS gets sued and stuck with the damage because of it. Bye bye, banking license.
What is sad here is that even Planet Partners are seeing a slowdown in requests. Some are saying, which makes some sense, is that MA had lost some key developers and are unable to do this work in-house. Since the statues didn't make them any money this would in turn cost MA a lot to have the work out sourced. Which yes, sorry to say, they need to take that loose and finish what people had paid for.
Yup. Same with Arkadia Studios and the plots referred to in San's post. Jesus fucking Christ, it's like almost everyone who gets connected with MindArk has their poor business standards and practices rub off on them. Arkadia Studios is involved in the lawsuit with Deathifier, and then there's this whole fiasco. And at the same time, David Dobson is also launching a new crypto currency initiative, because 2 companies associated with EU is apparently not enough.
Or go directly to : https://www.konsumentverket.se/languages/english-engelska/this-is-how-you-file-a-complaint/ Write em a detailed email with your own words. But keep in mind, that at least your complaint might become public info one day, so choose your words carefully. ;) I just sent an email with the latest PR gags and infos and asked if they ever had a complaint filed against MindArk before. I did not sent a wall of text yet, as Id love to hear back from them asap. ;)
If I should not post here until next weekend, you can probably find me on the ground of the ocean, with a rare cement block (L) attached to my feet. :)
Remember to always have your Scuba Gear (L) in your inventory and if you don't have that I'm sure you can buy them @ boxes.
I actually don't find this very plausible. Look at what they did implement instead of what they didn't. A huge graphics update, then BatSim, then Loot 2.0. They didn't announce these in advance, so nobody was waiting for it. But they were big and deep-cutting changes. Technically I could imagine something like BatSim got outsourced since it is a completely new game, but the other things require deep knowledge of the existing system. I don't believe they have no coders and I don't believe their coders are bad. It is those who give them their tasks who keep producing this mess. If this assessment is wrong, I'd find it strange if one couldn't dig up a few names of those key assets who allegedly left. I mean it's a small company and this is Sweden with so much information being public. I haven't gone digging myself but some around here seem to have a good overview of extant MA staff. Was this statement backed up in any way? Edit: That said, they are hiring and not even in Swedish. https://www.mindark.com/career/current-positions/
Building a statue is not something you'd require a coder for. It requires a 3D modeller. A statue literally does nothing. It's a 3D model with a fucking mesh collider around it. You could hire someone in Asia to make multiple of these for you in about a day. There's simply no excuse for not delivering something this simple that has been paid for.
They don't need 3rd party tools to access data from their own product. Seems something is moving, finally. http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...6-Avatar-Statue-Results&p=3643692#post3643692
Yeah, look and SEE, how the once more planned placing of 3 bullshit statues...from 2016! (and they arent placed yet) will make the community forget about compet, deeptoken, taming and CLD landplots...now that MA is Mr. Niceguy again...because they listened to the community...and finally something is moving....epic.... Everytime MA messes something up, they soon add a new teleporter or a misison or fix stuff like the tezlapod...after years!...instead of having a steady communication with its playerbase...and the community is thanking them anyway, with orgasmic posts, because MindArk is listening...and doing something ...and...lulz...unbelievable community.
Well, they are placed, the only issue now is that they have the default look and MA hasn't changed them yet which I'm guessing, sad to say, due to MA having to out-source now which the project didn't make enough money for this and MA would have to take a loose. But yes, MA MUST TAKE THAT loss and finish the project. But the good side. MA did make the big 12million sale so they now should have enough to out-source this project. :)
