I will post this as well on PCF since many took items from NI back to Calypso, please only reply to one of the threads either here or there. It is a little thing but I am a bit concerned about conflicting information regarding the NI Noob Clubs that were bugged. Originally, they were placed in storage for players who had crash problems from them, and later completely removed from the game until such time as the bug is fixed, when they will be returned to us. (the ice weapons caused the same problems and also in some cases had to be removed to storage, but were not fully removed from game). I for one have not heard of any such fix being completed and have not been given back my clubs, yet in the last week alone I have heard others clearly indicating that they are ingame for some players. For example, a trader on NI saying that among the weapons they had for sale were a few Noob Clubs, and hearing others saying on forums etc that they are still ingame and turning up in auction. When asked about this here is what support replied: ( I did go through NI support btw not Calypso, a different confusing muddle) "Thank you for your inquiry. All the Noob Clubs (L) are still removed from the in-world. Please rest assured that we are working hard on a solution and that you will receive the 3 Noob Clubs (L) that you own once we release the fix. Thank you for your patience. Kind regards, Gabriel| Planet Calypso Support " Something is not right here, and if some players have them back or never lost them support needs to know this I would think :palm: So, please vote on the poll, and post any details you may have, particularly if you have them ingame now when they aren't supposed to exist.
My noob club (L) was removed at the second pass, but i know that there are indeed some players that still have them. If i'm not mistaken, Kitten was one of them and she should still have 1 club, having given the rest to new players
Thanks Manny, yes it was Kitten I saw listing the clubs as being for sale along with her other weapons, but I don't know her personally so if anyone does and could ask her to post here it would be appreciated, as well as any one else who still has them of course. That is all I wanted, confirmation that some (be it one or many) have them back or still have them, if so, we should all have them at this point (they do have a ped value after all, I remember some poor avatar who felt 'stuck' in NI because he refused to leave until he got his clubs back for that reason and believing they would be returned to NI storage only).
almost all mine were removed but a few got missed somehow. I sold most of them since and just have one left
I have purchased two of them from Kitten at the island. I was unaware of these issues. I want to hang them on the wall once I either have an apartment or a shop at NI, as they are completely used. No system crash, nothing wrong with them except that they apparently decay really fast as I am no superman on this game yet. It really seems like the people working on NI have a lot of bugs to fix, give them some more time. I heard there will be another official opening of the game on february so perhaps they return the clubs before that (is it the second or the third time this game is officially announced, or am I just that ill?)
Thanks Kitten and Lord, at least one other person on the PCF says they have a lot of them in storage on NI as well. So, the question is answered, some have and most do not. This is not NDs fault, it is the coding done at MA that supposedly removed them from game, clearly a fail. So, most of us it seems have simply been denied access to items which have ped value now for weeks, while others have had access to them to sell, trade or use. Not good. I will write back to support to let them know this, I realize those who have them still don't want to lose them, but you could help support see the issue here by letting them know that you do have them, despite the above response that they do not exist in game. I will leave the polls and threads open for now to see if we can get any further responses to show it is more than one or two people affected. edit: Lord, yes, it is the second or third time it has been announced (at least in some media statements, reviews, facebook, twitter etc) as open to the public (and no info given at the same time that it is still in a beta or test phase and not yet fully implemented as ND did say to us finally, calling the original opening a 'soft' launch). All the 'openings' since tend to later be known as media launches instead of public ones. The general public has also been able to sign up and create new accounts and avatars since day one for NI.
Between my storage and hand inventory I had about 50 noob clubs. They were all removed from me. I just wonder when we will get them back. Also what about the storage space they take up. Do they still count towards your storage item count? if not what happens if when they return your item count is over 500? Will you not get them all back???
They took the two noob clubs I had in storage on Calypso. My friend had a ice dagger in her inventory for a few weeks before she had any issues. One day she went to the wrong place and could not log in to game for more that a few seconds until they removed the ice dagger from her inventory. I personally would not feel safe carrying any NI weapons until they get them fixed just to be on the safe side.
huh I just thought the majority of them are glitches and a few were not or something as I have more than 50 I think that was taken away and only a few stayed
I wrote to support again, saying basically FYI there are still some Noob Clubs ingame (since they had said there were none). Here is the response, and I think I will leave it hanging there with 'conclusion suggested', the attitude is just beyond me... " Hi, We are aware that some Noob Clubs are still around. This doesn't mean they are fixed, they can still cause crahses depending on the system. Anyway we will return all Noob Clubs to their owners once we have fixed the irregularities. I'm sure when we see the NI spec. update, they will be returned (hopefully in proper working order). I side with majority in that I had quite a few gracing the scrolled pages of my inventory. About half were removed first attempt, and the rest being removed the second go at it. Have not received any back, but then again, I haven't been expecting them till VU
