It's been almost a year since we first started hearing chatter about it, but id Software’s seminal shooter Doom II: Hell of Earth will finally be available on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. Microsoft’s Major Nelson made the announcement today, but has yet to pass along any pricing info or game details. The XBLA version of Doom cost 800 Microsoft Points when it was first released (it’s currently 400 MSP), so it would be safe to assume the sequel would be similarly priced. I have a Doom cartouche for GameBoy Advance and played the shareware (a whole episode!) a lot on PC :)
