Changes The fee incurred when landing a spaceship on a planet has been removed. This change is intended to encourage more trade between planets and personal space travel in general. Added a safe zone around the new Arkadia Moon. Entering space from Planet Arkadia once again places the spaceship in a safe zone. Known Issues Approaching too close to the Arkadia Moon in a mothership can result in being unable to reenter the mothership after exiting. Contact support if your mothership becomes unreachable. MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved. Translation : This change is intended to encourage Pirates to steal people since the space exploit have never been fixed, knowing that pirates can leave the radar and reappear magically behind you and loot you. ONLY mindark can have such tool to leave the radar and reappear right behind you, so why the so called exploit which is in reality a feature was NEVER fixed... Ak : Remove the lootable space to really encourage trades between planets, and add FREE planetary teleporters. In the swedish tradition of fooling people and a very high quality for jokes.
OK so remind me... this fee, was this the space booster decay? or was there a fee on top of that? It's been a while since I went to space so I can't remember. I don't actually know about the pirate exploits. Can someone who knows the details please explain? How does someone magically appear behind you? I've heard rumour of something called a speed hack being used (something to do with making OS clock run faster?) but that sounds somewhat technical to me... so much so I find it hard to believe it is in common use? I don't want to see an interplanetary TP, free or otherwise. We should be careful what we ask for in terms of "convenience". There has to be SOME point to planets.... if we have interplanetary TP's, planets might as well just be LAs.
I'd love to be able to travel between planets immediately. Lootable space was and is a ridiculous idea, which was only implemented to keep Calypso from being drained by other planets run by people with better game design abilities. I am currently on Cyrene, and the only reason I'd go back to Calypso is to sell my stuff in order to free up some cash. What bugs me is the fact I need to wait for a mothership to be around, and then spent valuable time waiting, whereas even at a premium a TP would be instant. But lord forbid MA ever implements something to make people's lives more convenient.
Well they could implement something like the old ship/hangar system to give a space-travel like effect (I actually found that a bit exciting but that’s probably just me). They could tart it up a bit by making it just as fast but more spacey. Would be a lot faster and a compromise between Teleport and current space travel. Of course would make hangar owners happy but MotherS unhappy so some kind of fee-split compensation per journey could be arranged and distributed to Hangar owners and MotherS or a tp to Mother and a second tp to planet taking a bit longer but at a bit less cost. Meh. We’ve spoon-fed MA suggestions like this for years and they don’t want to know.
1. Cars 2. TP chips 3. Universal Ammo 4. Shrapnel that can be converter to Uni Ammo without the need to return to the TP 5. Warp drive 6. Portable storage units 7. Portable repair units 8. Resurrection pills 9. Resurrection chips 10. flying vehicles 11. Distractonators 12. Summon Claim 13. Item enable sets 14. Auto crafting 15. Reduced loot variation (easier to stockpile a stack/sell) 16. In game help system 17. Entropia Guides 18. Instruction videos 19. ... OK you get the idea
Just to play devil's advocate for a minute on the convenience thing. Imagine a star trek world where you can travel anywhere instantly. Wouldn't you always go to the best places? 1. You'd always go to the nicest countryside 2. You'd always go to the cheapest shop 3. You'd go revelling in the most fun place. 4. You'd live in the middle of nowhere This means that you'd be left with just the best places as everything else would go out of business. OK there will be some diversity of taste and culture that will allow for a bit of variance but seriously why would you go clubbing in your local town when you could pop to Ibiza every weekend? (not that I've ever been there incidentally - just an example). Same would happen with Entropia. No one would ever stay anywhere for any length of time. Would be pretty hard to develop a community in any set place.
My wishes : Planetary free teleporters. Loot logs = everything you loot is saved on a special log like chats. (so many people been complaining about their loot not beeing what they have in inventory), give us a Loot Log ! I dont care and NEVER use the rookie chat, so i dont understand why it is saved on my logs, fuck it !
