Yippeeee :yahoo: I must say I am really looking forward to this one, it will be fun just to run around and look at the new appearance everything will have. :D
Yes I hope so too. I would recommend everyone screenshot your skills pages ingame, and also go to the My Section - My Items page at http://www.project-entropia.com/ and copy the items list to a text file so you can verify all your items are correct after the VU update.
Only 19 hours to go before we can see how our new world would be. happy happy joy joy. Thankx for the tip :yahoo:
Hi, The key word here is patience. This VU is going to have bugs, both old and new. This is the biggest undertaking MA has tried so expect some problems. Hold off a couple of days before you have a hissy fit about things. :D Also remember that this is not the Cry engine so don't expect it to look like the screenshots of that. That VU will come next year. (Supposedly). Have fun and I hope we recognize you after you revamp your ava LOL
Things like the amps on weapons, and laser attachments, had a habit of vanishing from your inventory a couple of VU's ago. They still appeared in the My Items list which shows all your items, and MA's answer to support cases was for you to tell them what items were missing. That was difficult as the items were not visible in the game inventory screen, but was made easier using the My Items list, as that showed all the items that your avatar was carrying. Also there have been some slight changes to skill totals after a new VU, so it is best to have a copy of these things before the VU, so that if you think anything is different you have the data to check it.
Nice one Burger - I hadn't heard this before and never thought to 'store' my skills etc in this way before a VU. +REP
Bunny!!! I like the new look!!! Now I'm beginning to think my graphics card can't match the new requirements I actually see what you look like.
Well - a mixed result for me on the new VU. My new avatar looks like an emo kid. My clothes looked really strange, esp the berycled pants, so I changed to more appropriate brown ones and this looked ok. My nice black and white trainers are now just a grey mushy shoe :( I repaired some clothes and they now look gaudy and a bit over the top - but I guess I can change them a few times and they'll be worthless again LOL I can see other ava's clothes looking really smart and as for naked female ava's? Well obviously I'm not looking at them at all :D I kinda like the new armours, but they all look much the same, and the new colour schemes are a bit dull in most - some however like the pixie now look really bright and nice. The biggest problem of course is the lack of a pixel-shader compatible GFX card in my laptop, reducing Red & I to a single EU machine now. This is a really BAD move MA, considering your target intake are mainly wanting to play for free at first, they might not neccessarily have the latest kit. Some backward compatibility please? Overall though good work I think - it must have taken a lot to get this VU together but I hope there are going to be some good revisions too to improve on what they started, beginning with the ability to play without shaders. Well that's my :twocents:
My graphic card is also not good with this VU. I see everything right except the armors. :-( New one possibly next month. :D Thanks Yanick Hope you can get a new one too.
