Important Changes June 16th With the introduction of space, you will see several changes and more dynamics to Entropia Universe. Besides from the thrill of exploring space this new dimension of the universe will provide new entrepreneurial opportunities; space pilots, prepare yourselves for a new age in the transportation services! The space release next week will also include two important changes that you might want to be prepared for: disabled interplanetary teleportation and planet bound auctions. Disabled Interplanetary Teleportation With the introduction of space and spacecrafts, teleportation between planets will be disabled and traveling through space will be the way to go instead. However, it will still be possible to teleport from CND and Crystal Palace to Planet Calypso for a fee. Planet Bound Auctions To further spur the interplanetary travel and economy, the auctions will be bound to each planet. This means that you can still view auctions on all planets, but for you to place a bid on an auction or collect an item, you have to be on the specific planet. Items that MindArk put up for auction, such as the motherships after the release, will be universal. These auctions can be bid on and the items collected from all planets having an auctioneer. Tip! As a space ship manager, remember to keep an eye on supply and demand for various goods on different planets; you will have the opportunity to retain the interplanetary trade balance. - Arachne - Entropia Universe - index.xml In my opinion, these are good changes, in general and specifically for Next Island's development and economy, provided we can conveniently travel between planets. Next Island will be my planet of (first) choice. I have a hut in Crystal Bay.
I am not sure how good this will be for NI in the near future. Until we get better weapons, bps, and armor I will still have to travel to another planet which will limit my time on NI. As it is now I can bid on an auction and not have to pick it up until my next trip to the planet. With the new auction setup I will be leaving NI much sooner when I can find a pilot to take me so I can get my needed items from another planet. For this reason alone I would like some universal mobs on NI that will drop the items I need. It is to early to know how reliable planet to planet traders will be.
I would like to see a high-maturity Daikiba spawn on Next Island... ... so I can still recall the thrill of shooting my first Daikiba on Calypso. -- (after Conrad Hall) --
Shit, if I can't get my hands on one of those fighters I am going to have grab a ton of supplies for NI. As you mentioned Arch, don't want to see people bringing in supplies at gouge prices. Well wish me luck on one of those fighters(and hope they have a passing seat) or going to have to revert to crafting ourselves, and I sadly sold most of my crafting skills back in November :(. Or perhaps just after space is released that would be a good time to have a contest/auction for the game reserve LA's on NI, with the contest/auction winners getting their choice of generic mob natural spawn(low density/maturity of coarse).
OMG that sucks!! I have to go to the other planet to bid on an item??? What is the point of even seeing the item from another planet now?? Someone needs to start kicking some ass now and get us our own armor and weapons! Time to get out the whip. I have one if they need to borrow it :)
I know it sounds bad, but i really believe this will help kickstart things. Now, it will be viable for weapon/armor/tool/enhancer crafters to move to NI, something that will help the local economy as loot will start having actual MU. It would in my opinion be better if we could also filter MU by planets, since not all ingredients drop at the same percentages in every single planet. Fingers crossed, a LOT of changes in the Universe lately.
