So, after about one month of being online, we're wondering how well you think we're doing. Do you have a feeling that we might be onto something? Do you think that your opinion and suggestions here are being heard well enough? Do you think the forum and site in general serve you well? How could we improve our service to you? What do you miss, what do you think is cool? Any particular areas you think we should focus on? The new planets? Interviews? Wiki? Please let us know how you think we can add more value. We have had some ideas on how to help out, but maybe you guys have even better thoughts, or different needs than us, and therefore can think of other useful additions to the forums. I've been kind of inactive ingame and on forums lately, but have been reading stuff on here and other forums. So far things here are looking good imo, it will take some time to build a bigger user base but it will come. I think the wiki and more guides on here would be a good move, maybe ask alice if you can use hers, or contact people who have posted good info on EF to post a copy here (Solaris's (L) weapon chart for example).
As I'm a bit bored of the game at the moment, I spend a lot of time in all the forums and must say this is maybe even the best one out there with not to much whining and name calling (I know we did have a bit of that already). To give me (us) something to do I would really like you guys to develop the Wiki a bit more, so we can fill it up. I did make a page about my gun, but that is just something I made up and might not be what you had in mind or maybe the layout is not as you want it to be. I know everything can be changed, but it would be a wast of time to do everything over again.
Thanks for the nice words :) We are doing our best, but might be able to push it a little (*Takes away the Beer from VF :D ) About the wiki - I tried to make a new table in the 'links' section containing the same colours as those we have on this forum. Feel free to use that for the items :) What is really needed is awesome NEW pictures of everything and I'm afraid that is also something we have to ask you all the help for (because we're playing on low res :( ) Anyway - the wiki is just as much yours as ours. If you have any awesome ideas just try them out! Can't be that bad :D ------------------ About asking people to help out - that is a really good idea - if not having them to post here, then at least if we can 'borrow' their nice turtorials etc. :) Thanks again for some constructive feed back :)
I think so far you are doing a grand job and the forum in time will continue to grow. Have you done or thought about add screens in game? I would love to help, but I cant write/type for toffee :( I can take screenies, but what do you want them of? ( Anyone know how to make the quickbar hud thingy disappear these days? It used to be v & b)
the quickbar hud thingy has a action in the action library and I put them back on the v & b key again
:) thanks Rockchick :) About the in game ads, we have one running atm - only for 5 days though and I could tell from one post, that it did drag one member over here A very kind person donated some peds to the forum works and this is what we will also use them on (ty kind person, you know who you are ;) ). Screenies are always helpfull, indeed! I think your be onto something actually...had to visit ER as it was mentioned here so much...now I know why I've never registered there... seriously...whatever they're doin over there do the opposite...really just had to see who the top poster was over there to realise how high the actual crap factor was...that forum just lacks...everything...from design to content, just pure garbage, worst shit I seen in ages! Keyword is probably dedication, which you guys seem to have so, I reckon you will do great! ;) regards!
