The search functionality on the tracker data has been restored, and is available for you to use as of now.

The search will be tweaked and further optimized behind the stages during the next days, but we do not expect this to cause any trouble for you.

There may still be duplicates, as the database performs it's search still on (partially old data), but we're working on this as well.

Please note that it will take approximately 10 minutes until the global is available in the search and on your "My Globals" page.

We will improve things further, to reduce the 10 minute delay to ~ 5 minutes, but a delay of 5 minutes is inevitable and will stay, as we need that for verification and background processing.
(actually, there has always been a delay of ~ 3 minutes, so it's not thaaat much of a change)


Furthermore, please note that the updating of the personal mini stats below your avatar picture remains suspended for the time being.

The awarding of EPD for those running the tracker has been suspended for a few hours only, all the EPD earned have been awarded accordingly during the last days (always around midnight GMT)


Please do not hesitate to make use of the bug tracker if you find any irregularities (sheesh, i hate that MA term... well, report them nonetheless) or even bugs, or simply send me a PM.

The processing time has been reduced by approximately 4 minutes, globals should be available in the global search and on your "My globals" page within ~6 min now.

This will be improved further as soon as possible.


Furthermore, the mini stats under your forum avatar picture (left of your posts) will start working again shortly, please stay tuned.

The "Globals reported" and "Globals reported today" in your ministats have been restored, the system has kept counting them behind the stages, now they are updating again.

Please note that the values are updated once a day only, usually around midnight GMT - this is intentional, to not indirectly give away your online status while you're running the tracker client - same goes for the awarding of EPD.

The next version of the tracker will allow you to chose if you want to be shown as "Ingame now!" or not (plus some other features, like tracking your play time), but it shouldn't be possible to see if you are online when you don't want it to be displayed (unless you global all the time :P )

More functionality will be restored shortly, please bear with us.

 

The processing time has been reduced by another minute.

This has enabled us to keep the database tables very small and this, in turn, should result in a lower load (not that the forum has been slow lately, but this will help to prepare the forum for way more people running the EPTracker)

In addition, we have prepared a new, speedier mob/item search, which will allow you to even have new discoveries and globals on these discoveries available for search very quickly, unlike our competitors ;)

We're still working on it, but the main "behind the stages" part is finished, so this functionality will become available shortly.

This is the first step (and the biggest) towards an easy, yet very detailed search system, and we're sure you'll like it.



Furthermore, we will soon add the possibility to "assign" team names to your society, to make them count in an upcoming "society ranking".
We will apply a "first come first served" rule there, which will account for all globals since we launched EPTracker, so be prepared to grab "your" team names!

 

The tracker rankings in the ministats are working again, from now on they will be updated again once a day, around midnight MA time (UTC)

Please note that the formula for the rankings has changed a bit, and that we may tweak it a bit in the future before we publish details on the weighting.


This was the final step in restoring the familiar functionality of the server side of the EPTracker system - from now on, we will add new, cool stuff!


And a lot of new features have been prepared in the process of streamlining the components for speed/lower database load.


Even thought all the current parts of the new system have been tested thoroughly, there might be still a minor bug or two that needs to be squished, please report any irregularities... well, you know the rest!
