You ever wanted to escape from the heavy frequented places , relax a bit in a quite place , meet your friends in a private atmosphere ?
Then you may need an appartment or house where you can be for your own.
Here is a little tutorial how to get and operate an appartment (houses are working the same way, only the layout differs and you almost can place items at the ground around your house):

Appartment types:
There are several types of appartment buildings at Amathera and CND, first the ammount of them looks a little confusing but there are only a few different types.

Appartment type A : 1 room 120 ; placeable items
Appartment type B : 1 room 120 ; placeable items
Appartment type C : 1 large room + balcony ; 150 placeable items
Appartment type D : 1 large room + balcony ; 150 placeable items
Appartment type E : 1 room ; 120 placeable items
Appartment type F : 1 room ; 120 placeable items
Appartment type G : 2 rooms + balcony : 200 placeable items
Appartment type H : 1 large room + balcony ; 150 placeable items

The layout of the different types of rooms is the same in all appartment blocks.

NOTE : Appartments at CND doesnt have a balcony due to the missing athmosphere :)





A good idea before buying an appartment is to visit some cities with appt.buildings and have a closer look.

The easiest way to become a appt. owner is to browse the auction. You will see some used appt. and alot of first time offered ones.
If you have spotted a suitable one its a good idea to visit the choosen one before you buy it. It would be really sad if you notice later that the appt. is located where you dont want to live ;)

When you have choosen and bought an appt. and have the estate-deed in your inventory you are a estate-holder by now .
To becom a estate-owner you have to visit your new home , click the estate-terminal in front of your entrance and press the claim button (1). The registrated owner changes to your name.
Now you are a real estate-owner, congratulations.



Appartment maintenance:
What next to do is to have a look at the maintenance fee entry, look at the date at wich the payed fee will expire (2). If there are days or month left you dont need to pay fee up to this date.

NOTE : You only need to pay the fee when you wish to use your appt. There is no need to pay fee for a unused appt.
That means for saving some cash : Pay the fee only once when the maintenance fee date has expired ( usually 10PED for 1 month ) .
If your maintenance fee date expires you do not pay for the time expired when you reissue the appt.!
You have not to pay any extra fee like for power,water or whatelse (hope noone from MA reads this)


Next thing to do , if you wish to place item in your fresh and clean new appt., you must set the access to unrestricted by pressing the restrict-access button (4).
You only can sell or transfer the estate-deed when access is restricted. You only can place items in your appt. when access is unrestricted.



Access control :
If you wish to allow other ppl to visit your appt. you also has to allow public access (3).
There is also a function to disallow public access but allow your friends to enter your appt. The edit guests button (5) allow you to modify a guest list for your appt. so only these ppl. can visit you in your home.
The guest list is managed easy by marking the ppl you want to add or remove to the list and press the apropriate button.



Placing items :
You can place items by dragging them from your inventory to the place you wish. There are some restrictions for placing items. Find it out :)

To Place an item:
Drag it from inventory to the floor holding the left mousebutton.
Release the left mousebutton to move the item around , you can also hit the spacebar to move around in the room, hit spacebar again to go in the placemode again.
Right click and hold mousebutton to turn the item move mouse left (Clockwise) right (Counter Clock) to change items direction. Let go mouse button when done.
If you have found the desired place for your item and the item is not displayed in red (means no placing possible at this place) just click left mousebutton again to place the item.
There are also some special tricks for placing items in spectacular positions.
