EU space needs to be changed

  1. I'm in my latest stage of a tour of the planets in EU space and I've noticed that certain things don't make much sense.
If you look at the map of EU space you don't see a star somewhere in the middle when surely there should be one assuming all planets are going around the same star.
Another odd thing is that within minutes of heading off in the direction of one planet from another; at least the one that is next door, you start to see it in the distance. This shouldn't happen even if you're going at many 1,000's of kilometres an hour - you should only begin to see the planet when you're relatively close to it on the map.
Don't know what others think on these issues...

I agree that it does not fit within the real world physics. I do not know how much they are actually separated and what the speed is we travel trough space. It would be nice if it all fitted with the RL physics, but I'm not sure if that would give us a nice galexy to be in.

    I second this!!

    I disagree!

Makes perfect sense to me. If I can see all planets from each other I can go towards them.....

if not I have no chance ;-) I;ll be forever lost in space ! :-)

As to them being nicely ordered on map. Well that makes sense too...order is better than chaos. A well ordered and maintained space is cool :-D

  5. Hi all - well I think they should make the map a bit more realistic, that way there could be more to 'eu space' then at present, and when in space there should be a speed indicator showing at least many 1,000's of miles an hour, then maybe it would make sense :)

I agree that it should be alien in nature, but I think the laws of solar systems extend a wee bit farther then earths..

  7. All atmospheres are made of 'luminous' gas that's why they glow :) And on another funny thing about EU space, why do I keep getting the message 'You cannot enter deep space'?

Well there is a need for a star in the middle, that's for sure, that's just the laws of physics, we would be speeding to the end of the universe without it. Without a star in the middle there would probably not even be a planet, because it is the reason all the matter in a universe is stuck together and formed planets.

  9. The planets are not all in one solar system. Look at NI, Arkadian, and Cyrene story lines. They are much farther apart. You have use some imagination when flying thru space, just as you do when on planet.

Yep and its far too early to suggest that things wont change. If they want to stick to the story line then I see multiple suns with multiple solar systems that we have to travel to. Add space mobs that belong to the habitable planets story that hang around each system, along with mining, and you have the makings of great adventures!! :beerchug:

  11. This is getting confusing ...:alcohol:

The star is obviously off the map, and the planets are fixed in perfect orbits of the same relative speed.

Putting a star between the planets would turn us all into crispy critters.
