I love the new changes, funny missions (robots with attitudes...), and the changes in geography. Great work Next Island developers. Now off to find the new cave...

Finally got up the nerve to use the time travel crystals, traveling back to Ancient Greece (AG). Whoa. Will not repeat the informative posts already shared by Bermo, Softheart, Kitten, and many other NI explorers.

Initial impressions of the new AG region:
    - Well designed, from the ambient music, sound / atmospheric effects, and an authentic look of an ancient civilization.
    - Informative and some time funny NPC exchanges with local Thebes residences. Nice scripting. (Example, paraphrased: "I know I may be from the City of the Dead, but I'm very much alive. Do I look dead to you?"
    - Good mob interactions, grunts, and character reactions. Nothing beats a cyclops for keeping an "eye" on things.
    - Captivating landscape and layout. Signature beauty we have come to enjoy time and time again from the Next Island designers.

Just wrapped up the first two Thebes missions, so I'm just starting out with some friends. Looking forward, from the last few days when the Death Bug was discovered, Ancient Greece has a lot of promise. Now to go sharpen my sword...

  4. Oh i feel sory that I went back to NI. But I was alone I couldn't find those steropid Cyclops so after 2 days I gave up and went back. But had I knew that there would be others who loved it, I would had stayed, but I really feel it's a beautifull place

I, too, think the scripting and story is interesting. it's much better than that knob sebastion who kept calling people "noobs" and that egocentricial tank who was an elitist pig.

so, all is good for me so far. I guess I should find a storage, eventually.

...and I'm sure I'm not the only one with those thematic and rhythmic music tunes echoing through my head long after I log off for the night. I feel the need to punch in Gladiator (2000) and cheer on the slaves! (I know that is period Rome, but it's close.)

  7. All you have to do is jump off a cliff :D ...but really if you need storage the only ones are in the caves where the revives are at.

yeah, I discovered that. I had spent quite a bit of time without dying until I ran into one of those really big cyclops. my little terminal axe barely scratched the thing.
