Hi all, I just started to add videos to Entropedia and wanted to do the same here. It would be nice, if you could add a function to display videos directly in the page (example: Entropedia: Vehicle: Naglfar Mk1 (L)). One important notice: It should be possible to use the paramters hd=1 and #t=0m24s , this allows to jump directly to the turret part for example. As soon as this is possible, I can add some _very_ useful videos.
I believe you can edit wiki pages in HTML mode, then it should be possible to just embed them, with the extra parameters.
There are lots of video's in the wiki already, not sure if the stuff you ask for is possible To be honest the HD=1 option would not be to fun for people with a slow connection. Looks like out youtube extension does not support the stuff you suggest and the other ones do not either. Hm, actually it is possible to embed videos anywhere on a page since mid 2010. Like RAZER said: <youtube>youtube_id</youtube> for example <youtube>AGwkGYbbMP8</youtube> To further simplify this and prepare for another upcoming feature additional syntax has been introduced recently: {{Youtube|youtube_id}} for example {{Youtube|AGwkGYbbMP8}} Both work but the latter automatically adds the page to Category:Pages with video and stores the video ID as a property of the page. Youtube embedding has been expanded with a couple of features: different sizes for videos left or right align videos can appear in a new row or with text floating around if you have a youtube channel with regular updates you can have you videos displayed on the wiki with custom headers/footers incl. link banners there's a help page for how to embed youtube videos: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Help:Youtube video gallery goes alpha: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Video_Gallery And we are working on a couple of more video features.
