Tony TwoToes Taglia joined Lost Renegades (my society) last week as part of Lykke's "Adopt a noobie" program. He had sweated for about 2 days prior to joining LR and within the first day or so of joining had purchased his first mining equipment. With a willingness to do his own research he has required minimal guiding and already contributes to soc chat like an old pro. I gave him the "starter kit" last night to celebrate his first week with us and promoted him out of the rank of "recruit" so I thought I would give an update here. In the week since joining he has taken his sweat earned ped and done well enough mining to pay for two(2!!!) trips to CND where he has really enjoyed himself and the more easily available teleports. I then proceeded to go around getting a majority of my Tp's and only managed to get stuck a couple of times. A couple of nice friend players came to my rescue (Orillion!) and I managed to get most of them. 3 days ago (day 10) i headed back up to CND where I managed to hit my first Global!! 80 ped Oil!! followed 55 mins later by yet another 80 ped Oil! wow amazing... about 5 hours later.. a 393 ped Hof Ares!!! omg what a day... still no deposit.. Today i hit a 88 ped Oil global and decided to give CND a rest as it was being very stingy... and came back down to the planet to do some searching for some "sweet spots for me to hit down here.. where i met up with Narfi and collected my Newbie package.. (thank you very much) All and all my time in Calypso has been amazing, i have been fortunate to be very lucky, i have been gearing up nicely, am currently looking to upgrade to the enmatter EF212 (i play a lot lol) and slowly working ore just def not as fast.. The Society you found for me is an absolutely great group of people, i enjoy them a lot, they deal with my barrage of questions awesome... but i am a fast learner and research a lot on my own, Thank you so much for having this program... you and your guys are an asset that should never be overlooked to PE... wow yes, this is so great :) And I did get an update from Tony yesterday. I am so happy to hear from people who succeed because it shows dedication and give a positive feeling. It is sad when people do not succeed. Unfortunately this happens too often too .. Let's bath a little in the sun Gratz bot Tony for his great start in game and to Narfi for running a great society!
Update: Tony has now globaled in all three professions and is ranked 214 on tracker for mining and has brought our society into the top 50 mining socs registered on there. As far as I know he is still going on his original spurt of sweat money and hasn't deposited. Players like this can be an inspiration to us all. narfi
Tony has proven to be a true gambling addict :P He just broke into the top 100 crafters on tracker today. Right now he is ranked #99!!! not bad for a guy who is about a month old. narfi
I think we can safely say that Tony is no longer a "noob" He hit #20 for top crafters on tracker today, and hit an 8.3k argo the other night. http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/uberloots/183140-8326-argo-young.html In terms of months playing he is still young, but in everything else (research done, skills gained, money spent, ped cycled, globals/hofs/ubers etc...) he is defiantly a pro. He said he is "trying hard to make his mark amongst the ballers" and I think he is well on his way.
