Yes, from what understand it's going to be released very soon. From what I understand is that they first will be releasing Pets and then soon after Fishing.

 

Will MA deliver fish to our door now : ) sail to calypso waters sit at back of the boat equip fishing line and throw it out a few minutes later I catch ripper cod sail back and the fish to the broker.

 

Well one thing impacts another in this case. Certain stuff just wasn't worth implementing without new avas. For example clothes armour etc for the PP's too much work to create for a system that is out of date. They did anyhow but I imagine they were not happy about it. This is probably why most of the ND stuff is just re-texturing of the old models from caly.

So yeh the video needed the new avas which were delayed. Pets need the new avatars so are delayed. Fishing probably similar. Mechs need them too I'd imagine. One of the new planets needs the pets so that will be delayed.

The other one was I think they were talking of the CLD's being banded together into 3x3 grids so we could build on them? Wasn't that early 2013?

I see where you are coming from but actually I'd say its fine. Your argument is akin to saying in a high tech world people only do hi tech things. In our current world we have plains trains and automobiles.... but we still skate, ride horses, cycle or walk.

People still knit and home bake/cook too. They still read books in the age of TV.

 

from some radio interview with Kim the other day where he speaks about taming and fishing.

"Kim: yeah.. its pretty much in the same state as fishing actually, for the moment. It only exists on paper. Simply because it’s a massive system, we want to do it right this time. But then the health maturities you saw the last time around with the taming system, and no I can’t give dates because we done it so many times in the past and schedules tend to change."

I wouldn't believe Kim as far as i could throw him to be honest, In mid 2012 fishing is ready and now it's on paper. It's embarrassing to watch the same shit every time "we want to do it right" why do they want to do this right but everything else they are more than happy to do a half arsed and buggy? boggles the mind, must actually think were morons and believe them each time.

And to those who don't care for taming or fishing... plenty do, i personally don't care for fishing but if it makes the game more enjoyable for someone and attracts people then good, guess I'm not selfish.

 

I'm running a sort of crafting newbie experiment at the mo. Basically SEEing how long I can cycle for and does it make any difference to skills etc. or even how high I can get my carpet tiles (aka basic filter bp)

 

using the android slot machine means I can do craft runs at work which passes the time I guess...

 

The graphics rival that of the cryengine 2!! ;)
