Fito Mojica - the lost lead gfx artist of MindArk (new vehicles and space hangars)

Discussion in 'General Entropia Universe Discussion' started by McCormick, Oct 16, 2019.

  1. I once had this list, about which vehicles Mindark had purchased from external sites like tumblr and turbosquid.

It seems like I dont have it anymore...and as there havent been a list here before, lets create a new one :

"Adolfo Mojica Enríquez" from tumblr, for example, originally created the Hovercraft :

    BUT :

...this is where it started to become interesting...and thats what I remember so far:

Fito Mojica took the hovercraft model from somewhere else and "made his own version", not crediting the "original artist"...just calling him "other artist"...enjoy...

Wow great find! I don't think it's so bad that he didn't specifically credit the other artists. There may even be reasons, sometimes people don't want to be associated with their old work if their portfolios now look better for example.

I see there are guns too. https://fitomojica.artstation.com/projects/0ooL8 next thing... I see Jamira contacting the artist for highres copies for 3D printing ;)

I kinda like the silly gun vehicle. It's cool in a really daft sort of way. The turret flat thing with the cockpit looked like it would have been fun too.

I'm sorta wondering if it would be possible to 3D print a working model hovercraft now... (goes to youtube to check)

Who else sees this... and imagines a custom arcade machine?

    comes back from youtube...

Now... I wonder if it would be possible to retrofit the required inside that model? I'm pondering that the fan might go in the rounded section at the back where the pipes come out. Those might even be used as an actual duct to supply air to the steering skirts. The hole on top might be enough to let the air in....? The electronics could probably go around the hole in the top section, battery behind the cockpit maybe... using doors for removal... now wondering if anything close to this design exists in real life...

    It's the same person lål.

  6. You are right, Ill fix that. Still hes not the original designer of the hovercraft and this thread was created to find out, who originally designed all the new Entropia models and where MindArk purchased these.

I'm assuming when he references "various artists" or "other artist", it's simply his MindArk colleagues.

found a whole bunch of other things about hovercraft design but nothing with those blobs on the front yet so still not sure if it's practical. I did find this rather cool/futuristic looking one though

Hehe, not really. I made this one already:

I'm done with these EU things and 3D print.

Lately I became a member of an exclusive club: Friends of Do-X in Friedrichshafen, Germany. We want to make a real replica of the famous flying boat from 1929.

Parallel to the reconstruction process we will make a VR-version as a first step to win investors. Finally it should be exhibited in Friedrichshafen's Dornier Museum in ten years at the 100th anniversery of it's first flight in 1929. Well, it will neither fly nor swim. But it is an impressive example of engineering.

I made a rough model of it in 1998 and imported it into VR last week. It is impressive ;-)

I love Dornier designs, even their modern one is sexy.

If you are going to put in the labor and materials to make a full scale model, why not do the extra few % to make it float and fly?
