We just upgraded to the latest version of XenForo, which allows you to now use Google +1 on the forum :) You can either +1 the site as a whole from the Forum Home, as well as individual threads :) Enjoy :)
Hi Amber, For the time being, no major features were added. The upgrades we performed were from XenForo 1.1 to XenForo 1.4. The great majority of improvements are performance and stability related with little new functionality being introduced, though an exception was made for the Google +1 functionality.
We currently are in the middle of switching hosts. Everything has been copied over, and we are waiting for the nameservers to pick up the configurational change. We expect this to take place wihtin a few hours, but depending on where in the world you are, it might take longer. If suddenly you notice some stuff might be missing that was here just earlier, that might explain it. I will do my very best to keep that kind of stuff to an absolute minimum, though. As always, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Alright. I was misunderstanding something. The actual switching will occur on Monday. We will close the board at that time, and we ought to be back within an hour then. So no worries until Monday :)
The forum has been down all night ... (admin=n00b) - we where suppose to switch servers last evening, but that was changed till Monday and Peter thought he turned the forum back on. For some weird reason (n00b) it didn't save his settings. We apologize ... the forum is still very much here and no sky is falling :p Sorry for the inconvenience :) Have fun
All done now. Welcome to our new, improved, faster server. The migration took a bit longer than expected due to the sheer volume of the data involved. Basically we moved from one host to another, both located in the greater London area, but it still managed to take several hours for everything to make it across the lines. In any case, the migration should make the forum experience even faster, and important to us, a wee bit cheaper as well (Not a heck of a lot, but seeing we are far from breaking even on running the forum(s) we are, every little bit helps :) ).
