Frequent Time-out Issues

    I've had time-out issues trying to log in to EU over the last seven days or so even though there's been nothing wrong with my Net connection. Eventually I do manage to get in after two or three repeats of the loop, but it's annoying and and I'm just wondering what's causing it. I thought of contacting MA support but I'd probably be wasting my time...

    Just a theory, could be to do with the server you log out at. So try logging out at a different tp.

    That's really clutching at straws:)
    Hope someone else has a better answer :)

    OK, I'll try logging out in a different TP area from the one I've logged into in future, see if that works. Many thanks ;)

    I have seldom (nearly to the point of never) been able to log in with the first attempt, often taking 5+ tries, I always assumed it was because of my satellite connection, but honestly don't know, other than it was always frustrating.

    I have no problems logging in.

    So perhaps it is the internet connection. Perhaps tinkering around the options in Tools in the client loader may be helpful.

    Rings a bell, as of the last week or so anyway, except I have a cabled connection (but wi-fi from the router to devices). What's odd though is that I didn't have this issue for practically most of the year.

    I had this issue earlier in 2021 when I came back after a decent break or something. I remember posting about it on PCF and got some suggestions. I remember trying a few things and somehow fixed it but I wasn't sure what did it. Others had similar experiences. It was almost like... you had to get one successful login then all was OK. I think I might have tried on a VPN or something then after that, even back on usual connection all was fine.

    Well all was fine with me connecting to EU until about two weeks ago when I posted this thread up, but GeorgeSkywalker's idea of logging out in a different area from where you logged in seems to work. That said, it took three attempts to login this morning at about 4:30, but then I hadn't logged in for about 18 hours. Maybe MA doesn't like it if there's too much of a gap between login times...

    Yeah I think there is a time factor involved as I've noticed that it tends to happen more if I haven't logged in for a while...
