G4TV: 3D Patch Coming To NBA 2K11 For PS3 In January

PlayStation 3 owners looking to take their NBA 2K11 experience to the next dimension will have the chance in January when 2K will release a 3D-enabling patch for its latest basket and ball title.


If you don’t feel like waiting for the patch, Best Buy will be showing off NBA 2K11 in 3D in their stores starting November 16. Standard TVs will run the 3D version, but you’ll need a 3D HD set with compatible 3D glasses to enjoy it in full 3D.

Sports games are one of the genres where I think 3D can really shine. Although, the thought of having Michael Jordan’s famous tongue flying towards my face in 3D is quite terrifying.
