G4TV: Assassin's Creed Artbook Submissions Revealed Via New Ubisoft Workshop Site

  1. Ubisoft recently launched the official site for its art-centric Ubisoft Workshop projects. A few months back, the publisher put out a call for contributions for a “Carte Blanche” portion of an Assassin’s Creed artbook it was putting together. The response was so overwhelming, and there were so many stunning submissions, that Ubisoft wasn’t able to include them all in the book.

So to make up for it, Ubisoft started a forum thread to give those artists who didn’t make the cut the chance to share their amazing work, like the flapper-inspired assassin portrait you can see after the jump, with the world.

That piece is from an artist named triple6punkie. Stunning, right? I would kill to play an overly stylized Assassin’s Creed game set in 1920’s Chicago or New York City where you play as a poor, down and out waitress who gets recruited to be an assassin for the mob (Seriously, Ubisoft, if you want help making this game, drop me a line).

If you want to see more of these incredible creations, Deviant Art has gathered them all into one convenient location. Game art geeks definitely need to check them out. And congratulations to all the artists whose work made it into the book, and to everyone who didn’t, congrats too, because, damn, you are some damn talented folks.

Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.
