It wasn't exactly a well-kept secret that Nintendo plans to release a Wii controller with built-in MotionPlus tech, but the other night in Japan, it became officially official. Nintendo's new magic wand will be called the Wii Remote Plus. It comes in a variety of colors for people who like that kind of thing, and it's coming out... sometime. Nintendo hasn't revealed the launch date for their new line of controllers. Here's the official statement from Nintendo: "For the convenience of the users, Nintendo is developing Wii Remote Plus, which integrates Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus. We will announce the details of this controller on our web sites and through other media at some later date." It's interesting that Nintendo is refining its motion control technology for the second time, when its two competitors are just launching their first motion products.
