We briefly met with MindArk, the developers of Entropia Universe, at the rear of the gaming pavilion at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. Our hope had been to catch a glimpse of how the game will look now that MindArk has licensed the CryTek graphics engine, the eye-popping powerhouse that drove the visuals for last year's amazing Crysis.

Unfortunately, the revamped game wasn't being shown on the floor. We did, however, chat with the team about some interesting new developments that are underway for 2008. Entropia Universe is the experimental online game that can be downloaded for free and makes money by allowing people to pay real cash for things like items and land. A fixed exchange rate with the US Dollar means that all of your assets in the game have a real-world value.

Well. I'm aware it's old. The title states the date. I came across it, and yesterday the interview with Deathfier. I am thinking we can set up a list of media releases mentioning MindArk. There's plenty out there, and a single subforum to hold them all might make for an interesting read.
