Well, that was quick. Yesterday, Sony revealed all the details of the 3.40 firmware update for the PlayStation 3, and promised it would be available "soon." Today, it's available. Patience is over-rated. The update adds a video editor, an improved photo gallery and other changes, but most importantly, the update adds support for PlayStation Plus, the PSN's new top-tier, paid service. I can't wait to try out the video editing and uploading features, but I'm going to hold off on PlayStation Plus until there's a more concrete idea of what we can expect to get for the subscription fee.
