To commemorate their 10-plus years in the industry, Rockstar Games, in conjunction with Steidl publishing, will release a three-volume collection next month packed to the bindings with art, illustrations, and in-depth looks at Rockstar’s stunning, and oft controversial, portfolio. In addition to the content contained in the volumes, the collection will also include a CD/DVD that contains even more exclusive content from such games as Grand Theft Auto, Manhunt, Bully, and the developer's most recent smash hit Red Dead Redemption. “The hundreds of color photographs and never before published videoscapes all culled from the archives of the creators will acquaint readers with the vast areas within the games that allow unparalleled freedom, and a unique experience every play,” reads the official publisher blurb. While the collection clearly sounds like a Rockstar lover’s dream come true, the suggested retail price of $450 will surely put it beyond the reach of most average gamers. However, as Develop notes, Amazon has the books listed for around $115 (75), which I’m hoping is closer to what the actual price will be.
